Can we please have a notification of when our Reports actually contribute to a player's reform?

All I ask is for:

"Thank you Summoner! You have helped contribute to a player's reform by properly reporting <player name> for <report>."

Also, please include:

"Dear Summoner,"

"Your report against <player name> for <report> was frivolous. Please only use the reporting system for actual incidents as frivolous reports will only clog up the system and lower the weight of your future reports. Thank you."

Oh, and when someone is punished by the system add a button next to "I understand" for "Open support ticket".

This would eliminate nearly 90% of the board posts in this section and would assist in helping players better understand the reporting system, its limitations and its proper use.

Thank you.

Riot did say

''If you had a notification for every punished player that you once voted on it would be annoying in the long term''

But yeah i do want to get spammed with notifications saying that something has been done to ban the guys who tell others to go kill themselves just because you couldn't save him as a support lol

They said they didn't want people spammed with those messages. I wouldn't mind it but it may be a little much especially for people who play a lot.

What I would really like is either a page in the client or some period report of your report stats. Like X players you reported were punished, Y reports contributed to a case built against someone, Z were considered invalid.

They intentionally leave out the names for privacy reasons even though with the way it currently works you can almost always figure out who it was.

they already have that

The system looks for patterns in behaviour over a large number of games (or very specific occurrences in a few). The frivolous report notification therefore might not work. A player who has a small outburst once every month would probably be considered neutral, yet reporting them at that one point would be correct. The system may believe that the one occasion is an outlier and ignore it? I don't know how it works, but there is no guarantee it is good enough to determine everything on a game by game basis.

Reforming player notifications would probably get a bit tedious too. In a survey by Riot most players - particularly those playing multiple games a day - indicated that they would not like a large number of player behaviour notifications. Given the high reform rate (Can't remember off the top of my head - mid 90s?) this would be a large number. It is also not worth the time to develop an opt in/out system. Add to this the fact that a good estimate for reform is three months and you won't remember the specific occurrence. You won't remember the name of the player or what they did. It doesn't really seem worthwhile...

I actually just got a notification saying that one of the players I reported (who other players also reported) got punished. Are you looking for something more than that? I'm a bit confused. I thought that was pretty cool when it happened. It let me know my reports actually had an impact.

The account "Princess Cammy" is being boosted by a player "big rings" definitely not his account.

If we get the option of having or not having a chat filter, or showing/hiding friends logging on, for example, then it should be simple to allow the player a choice as to whether to receive these alerts. Possibly even in a format of "every time a report status changes, one a week, never".

Personally I know I would feel much better if I knew that bothering to report toxic afk feeding players actually did something. As it stands, I have no reason to believe it ever makes it to the tribunal... but then I also have little faith in the league community these days :( Just being honest.

A couple of friends of mine told me last night they got a notification. They reported a Draven player or something that was being super toxic, and the message told them the player had been punished.

Someone wants to rub it in.

i would love being spammed with that because i only report the people who act like assholes and constantly nag others about being better. plus, why are you actually reporting so many people? are you reporting them for acting like assholes or are you reporting them for just being bad? think about it

As others have said, Riot doesn't want people getting spammed with "Successful Report" messages. Since they won't implement that, I'd like to see a more condensed view - weekly or monthly "we've reviewed your reports and n% of them led to punishments". Also, there should be a warning when your report weight falls below a certain threshold. That way people who make a lot of legitimate reports wouldn't have to worry about whether they counted for anything or not. As long as you hadn't received the warning you could be sure your reports were in line with the community's values.

Apparently this actually happens. I just got one of these a few nights ago.

I have a screen cap of when someone got banned from a report of mine. Shocked me so much I needed to screen shot it to make sure I wasn't seeing things.

Jungle Brungus11/8/2015, 6:13:22 AM1 votes

unfortunately, they never actually contribute :/

RyzeRework11/8/2015, 8:02:34 AM1 votes

I've gotten a message before like thanks for your report of a recent summoner has been band by the tribunal or something like that
