Perma Ban System

Hey everyone,

Im here to have a discussion with hopefully Devs and other summoners on what they think about the current honor reform system thats in place. Personally I think it does an amazing job at keeping players in check throughout the entirety of the season. Also another question I have is do you think players who were banned years ago before this system was in place should get a second chance in this new reform system? I personally was perma banned twice during the old system and was a pretty toxic player. Now that the honor system is around I am more cautious the whole season and try my best to be a positive influence in my games. This keeps me from being Perma banned once again. I personally would not get satisfaction by seeing someone who has put thousands of dollars and many memories into an account lose everything. I would get more satisfaction seeing them grow as a person and a player. I would really love if you guys could take a second and put yourselves in the shoes of people who have had their accounts perma banned, and have a productive conversation with me on this topic.

The reason that you get your account back after a 14 day ban instead of it being permanent is that some people will reform.

The ones who get permabanned have proven that they are not going to reform. They already had the final chance.

Just to clarify, Permabanned players or permabanned accounts? The only Permabanned Player I ever heard of was Tyler1.

Well, I hear Riot is conducting an unbanning experiment. While they too have said "unbanning players" some believe they meant "unbanning accounts" so i'm not sure what the reality of the situation is. The results of that experiment may or may not lead to further unbannings.

The real discussion isn't if players of accounts are or aren't "reformed" enough to have years old accounts unbanned, the question is whether or not a person has grown and matured as an individual to handle stressful scenarios in real life such that they can equate their composure to video gaming on a team with others.

Look at shaclone, PronstarZilean, Ap0, RatIRL and so on. If you have the money and skills, reform means nothing.
