People getting toxic over losing

So imagine you're going into a ranked game. You're ready to win. You make some awesome plays and win lane. Mid game comes and you start dying a lot. You try your hardest not to. Your team starts calling you out. You mute them. You then lose the game. You enter post lobby chat to see your team say to x9 report you, but don't give a reason for them saying so. (There is a premade) You defend yourself only to be met with "Quit the game" or name calling.

Point is sorry I had an off game. I tried. Losing one of your games sucks but it happens to EVERYONE. You don't need to get toxic over a loss. Maybe instead be encouraging. Tell them to try practicing more. You don't know the situations they're in. They could actually be disabled and you call them a r%%%%%. Think about what you say before you say it. Some people may not be as good as you. But some people may not have it as good as well. So instead of being toxic and trying to lower that person's self-esteem try being nice and encouraging.

Not that your point isn't correct bc I agree with it but...

You defend yourself only to be met with "Quit the game" or name calling.

why do this? you were in the postgame lobby, just leave

sidenote: in case you didn't know, 1 report is exactly the same as 9. Also reports that are submitted when you legitimately did nothing wrong do not count against you at all

Being nice and encouraging doesn't work most of the time, as it just leads to them not trying anymore.

Flaming them puts pressure and discourages them from making mistakes. At least in my experience and observations.

Being nice is not always the solution.

Tell them to try practicing more.

Telling other players to 'try practicing more' isn't going to defuse a losing situation. Being told by some random player you're matched with how to play their champ/game isn't generally going to be well received. Most of the time, it's just going to be interpreted as a way to say 'You suck' without getting flagged by the IFS for toxic chat. This is particularly true if it's a generalization such as this one, that can have no bearing on how the current game plays out.
