Things punishable that somehow no one seems to believe

It is mindbugglingly surprising how outdated some people's knowledge is with the large and still growing amounts of things that are being yellow-zoned or even red-zoned for saying. Since over a year, these things are punishable, but whenever you inform someone ingame about it, they downright mock you for it until they get chat restricted next game:

  1. Any form of tiltbaiting Banter such as repeatedly saying "Ez" "?" "Why you play a noob champ" or "Not even close". Riot has long since aknowledged that this community has lost their touch with the line between Banter and Insults and have yellowzoned most forms of banter, leaving only very, VERY few exceptions such as "/All Thanks for the leash" Upon a dragon/Baron-steal.

  2. Repeated calling for any reports on someone. if someone is making themselves punishable, shut up and report them after the game. 9 reports = 1 report and trying to call it out is looked at as a form of trying to target or even bully a fellow teammate or enemy.

  3. Consistent "Criticism". Such as asking someone for half the game "how did you fuck this up?". Asking once is fine. After a certain amount of time it just turns into a degeneratory mock. Your teammate will feel increasingly terrible for not being a top 10 worlds player on their champ simply because you keep increasing your expectations until not even you yourself can meet your own criteria.

  4. Lane-Invasion. I kid you not, Instant-locking and stubbornly taking a lane as to refuse teamplay is blacklisted as a form of trolling. One of you has to make adaptions so the game can go smoothly. If one of them is stubborn, or even both are, read Point 2.

I honestly keep being surprised a lot that people aren't up to date with this.

#And it doesn't help that the community as a whole thinks these offenses are so minor that they are some snowflake bullshit, which inevitably will lead to me being negatively received for the very notion of mentioning this being an actual thing.

For whoever didn't know it, well, now you do. Keep safe and pay attention to which things are at threat for being punishable. You'd be surprised what else there is that this post hasn't mentioned.

To be fair, most players don't come to the boards, so they don't really get to see what other people are saying they have been punished for unless they have received punishment for it themselves or if they know someone who has.

I knew all along that number 2 was punishable but people don't care. but I will not lie, I am guilty of number 4 but only half of it. I don't auto lock a champ right away (on contrary I lock in last to keep from anyone dodging and to call them out should they dodge) but I don't call lanes. people argue, fight, whine, and even dodge over the lanes when the respectable thing to do is either share the lane or politely ask them to go to another lane. crying over your lane being stolen and making demands to get them to leave is not only immature but it does not get you what you want. and people even go so far as to tell the team and even the enemy team to "report so and so for stealing my lane" If people cannot be polite and nice to me I won't pay them any mind. I also don't report anyone for any reason unless I know for a fact it will go through (cause allot of the time reports don't go through) and I won't cry to the enemy to report someone on my team cause I know they won't care.

I'm somewhat doubtful of the validity of No. 1 - specifically, the "Not even close" line. The other three are unsportsmanlike, punishable as spam (if you spam "?", not if you use it once - AFAIK, the IFS can differentiate an unspoken inquiry from BM.), and asking why someone plays "a noob champ" isn't just tiltbaiting - it's a straight-up insult.

To my knowledge, "not even close" would probably be regarded the same as telling people your health value after a close trade. Snarky, but not ill-meant.

As for the other three - yes, no arguments here, those are all punishable offenses, though I take some issue with you calling No. 3 "Criticism" - even with quotation marks, I feel that only reinforces the misguided notion that insulting and harassing people constitutes criticism.
