why do toxic players act that way?

in nearly every game i am in there is always one player who is a complete and total toxic jackass and throw flame and hate every chance they can. what i am curious about is why. surely these assholes know that if they act this way in real life they'd get their ass arrested. League should not be any different. if you act like an asshole you should be punished for doing so. riot is doing very little, if anything, to stop these players from doing so. in real life if you act like a jackass the cops are on you in 30 minutes tops. and if you do managed to get away they will find you and catch you. or if you act like a jackass to the wrong people in the wrong part of town they'd just put a cap in you instead of calling the cops. while i do like this game allot i think that it is a bad influence to people since they believe they can get away with being an ass. and unlike League, you can't just go "oh well. time to make a smurf and go again" no. no. when you are busted in real life you are doing time. doing nothing but sitting behind bars. and i bet you that people behind bars learn their lesson much more often than people on league. people on league just need to keep their shit to themselves and not be a complete asshole to others. but just like in real life, there are some people who will never listen and keep being assholes anyway. that is their choice. hopefully they will be punished swiftly and accordingly for their choices on doing so. and i have my hate shield up so i look forward to hate comments summoner 21

In my country people can argue with bureaucrats for hours, resorting to insults like "retarded" and occasionally "f%%%%ts" without any chance of getting arrested. Epithets like "idiotic", "stupid", "why the fuck would you" and "you are the worst" are the most common.

When dealing with immigrant traders selling you shit, racial slurs(all lighter than "n%%%%r" in America, but still) will also be involved and not get you arrested. Any physical violence as an answer to your words will not be tolerated by the police and the court and "he called me bad word" will not fly as a defence.

The thing that might get you arrested is refusing to leave, when asked to do so.

Your summoner must be on cooldown because all I hear is item 3070 item 3070 item 3070

Btw if I see you acting as mentally deficient irl as you probably play I’m probably gonna flame you for being outside without your helper. Have fun calling the cops for feels reports daily though I’m sure everyone around you isn’t making fun of you

As a non-toxic player most of the time; sometimes you hit your limit and get fed up with the game for once. Some find it harder to keep it in than others which is why muting yourself should be an option [I have anger issues and so I try my best not to flame] That's just my two cents though

And Riot should really improve the reporting system [like seeing how many reports you have or giving you a warning if you've been reported a lot]

Ok first off, you don't get arrested in real life for merely acting toxic. You're stretching bud.

in real life if you act like a jackass the cops are on you in 30 minutes tops.

it depends on your area. i've heard stories about cops arriving 2 hours or more after the call had been placed, regardless of what the issue was

and anyway, the IFS acts within about 15 minutes of the report being filed so, if anything, it's faster than the police ;)

  1. U.S.A. prison system is horrible. Look up recidivism rates.
  2. I've met tons of toxic chat in my real life. Never has the police gotten involved.
  3. Most people are toxic as a reaction to something not going their way. A pretty natural behavior that needs to be reformed outside a video game.
  4. Wishing "ill will" towards your enemies is still wishing "ill will". Be careful or you may become the thing you hate.
