Chance to get honor lvl 2 for the lowest penalty like last year?

Just wondering if Riot is going to grant a "grace period" like they did last year for those that messed up toward the end of the season, but have been doing well up until then. For a more clear example: Say you have been a goody-two shoes all season, but you have a couple bad game toward the end of the season to warrant you getting chat restricted and your honor plummeting down to level 1. Since you have to have honor level 2 to obtain the rewards, it would be extremely unlikely for you to be able to get honor level 2 back in less than a month or so. I know last year Riot extended it until February 11th and I was wondering if they are going to do it again for those who were unfortunate enough to lose their honor at the very end, but would like to try and regain it.

I also know that Riot themselves have stated that it is pretty unfair/feels very bad to not be able to obtain ranked rewards because you were unfortunate enough to get the lowest penalty super close to the end of season. Since there were no changes to honor this year, wouldn't that apply to this season as well? It feels really bad to not be able to get seasonal rewards because of the absolute lowest penalty you can obtain.

Would really appreciate any dev insight on this.

I'd not be impressed if they extended it - otherwise what's the point of an honour system. Most of us behave because we are decent human beings, and wouldn't act any differently without the reward carrot, but to create a system that says 'you only have to be a decent person for a fraction of time cause there's a built in get out of jail free card' seems like it rewards the opposite of what it intended.

And it should feel bad. That's the point. If you can't be decent simply because that's the way civil society works, then the stigma or shame of not getting a reward should help you course correct your behaviour - so that you don't feel that way again.

If you value the rewards then it should be easy to value your behaviour.

I think they should do another grace period for those that failed toward the end. It wouldn't hurt anyone and plus it is Riot's fault because they implemented a crappy honor system. They said they would fix it last year, but it is still the same mess that it was. Until they fix it, I think their should be a grace period for those who messed up toward the end. Also, its the 10th anniversary, come on Riot.

I would not expect that grace period to happen again this season. Knowing what would happen if someone is below Honor 2 is not a secret, and personally, I don't think would be fair to everyone who maintained their Honor if they do this more than once.

It's supposed to feel bad to miss out the rewards, because it's a punishment.

Who cares if you don't get honor rewards anyway? If you care about their rewards, that allows them to control your behavior. Nothing pisses off control freaks more than NOT CARING about them or their opinions.

There shouldn't be a "grace period." Learn your lesson before you lose your honor in the first place. Mute, ignore, report them, and you won't get chat banned, or banned, or suspended. I don't get it. You know you're at the end of the year, and you ALLOW yourself to screw up? Come on fam. What's the point of honor if there's a grace period every year for people that aren't honorable ALL YEAR?

This system is ridiculous, at the most they should make people drop 1 honor level for a chat restriction, like if you are honor level 5 you drop to 4, not to 1, this system only promote being toxic as hell early season because then you got a whole season to get honor back up even if you had like 3 punishments, while people who are clean the entire season but punished in the last month once are doomed.

This honor system is a failure and the victims of it will just be bitter and troll and feed people next season to make Riot pay for this.

Also Riot is not saying a word about the grace period this year so many people are grinding honor for nothing if they don't add it.
