PSA For reporting toxic behavior (Not just mean words)

So another of your games was lost due to one or more of the following;

-AFK

-Trolling including, Int'ing, Farm stalking (following you around with intent to gimp your gold intake)

-Sarcastic all chatting such as; "WINNABLE GUYS ;)" (after feeding), or "OH MAN I'M SORRYYYY GUYS" , or "OH WOOOOPS"

What can you do about it? Riot doesn't care to look at games, Tribunal was gutted, and only you will be banned for calling people on their bullshit.

Here's what you can do in a few simple steps;

  1. Screen cap specific parts of the chat to focus on any indications of trolling. Many of them think that as long as they don't use offensive words they can do whatever, and that's true, but we're building a case here. You can use screen capping software, your phone and uploading it via google drive or emailing it to yourself for attachment later, etc.

  2. Save the game replay. Find specific time stamps and submit them with context. Let the video evidence speak for itself. Again, use the means at hand via in game replay tools or third party sites.

  3. Save the summoner name of the offending player. Do not spam in on the forums or social media, just save the summoner name of the specific player who is doing the toxic behavior. This is obviously crucial for step 4.

  4. Submit a support ticket for manual evaluation and insist on getting a human response. Until you get the human response, leave the ticket active.

Fellow players, this behavior in ranked and across the game does not have to continue unnoticed by Riot or unpunished. Take action, keep yourself tilt proof. We CAN improve game quality! It's going to take some time and participation on behalf of the player base. Riot is not going to invest time or effort into detecting and tracking toxic actions, so we have to send a message to them and the toxic people themselves that it's no longer going to be hand waved away.[galio-happy]

Filing support tickets should only be done once every now and then, do not do it consistently.

The best way to report players will always be through the in-client option, filing too many support tickets will result in the support team removing your ability to file tickets.

Use it sparingly, only for situations you feel may not be picked up by the system or when you forgot to report someone.

Why would you need to save the replays?

Riot already has all the footage and chatlogs available. They are able to see more than what you submit, like click locations, ping, click speed, buttons pressed, screen pan methods etc etc.

They don't need your replay.
