does anyone know for how long you can leave before leaverbuster gets you?

like seriously the game i just finished, one of our team had a disconnect for less than 2minutes. and at the end when we got aced and it was obvious it was over, another guy from our team left the game. but the enemys danced around our nexus, we killed a bunch of them and overall the 2nd dude who left at the end of the game left the game almost 3min before the end.

yet i couldnt honor the dude who dc'd for less than 2min BUT i could honor the guy who left 3min before the games end.

im so confused right now.
