What is everyone's problem? Talk to me.

What is your problem? Why every game now do I see 2-4 of the following;

-Giving up (after losing kills, an objective, anything) -"Soft Intentional Feeding" or even blatant feeding/ Stealing farm over petty bullshit -Even more toxic chat condemning and blaming people for YOUR own mistakes -Outright Leaving, Disconnecting, or just ReMaking games one after the other

Guys. I try very hard to keep my team in the game, positive, and working together, to TRY, but there is something blatantly wrong with this community as a whole now.

Look at my match history. This account is ruined. Every loss I've tried to quell this kind of behavior and be a positive force and focus myself and my team and it amounts to nothing. It amounts to less than nothing as I get called a jew, n word, f-gay word, tard, and accused of everything my own team is doing and threatened with a report myself for not even pointing out their fault or misplays! I don't do that shit to people. I'm a reformed player.

There must be a way to fix ranked, to make the penalties harsher, to gate ranked behind massive requirements, to make punishments take longer to recover from. Something!

I just want to win! Failing that I want the loss to be fun and at least a learning experience. I want to encourage and help people and work with my teams, but people in this game, they are animals! I've seen more mature and team oriented Middle schoolers than these "players".

All this said. TALK TO ME! Tell me what will make you work with me. I WANT to work with you, but you guys don't give me anything to work with in the first place. I put myself out there and try to establish some basic trust so we can at least have good games and get SHIT ON for it! Why? Just. WHY?! Tell me!

I believe it is the result of a generation that has grown up with internet anonymity. Its so easy to act like an ass and never face any real repercussions. That, coupled with low self esteem causes these kinds of players to lash out rather than face the idea that they made a mistake themselves, or simply the fact that even if both teams play well - someone has to lose.

/mute all is a blunt solution but it does work. I've used it during rough patches where I don't have the mental strength to resist getting pulled into petty arguments defending my choices and plays in game. I will never start flaming someone for a bad play. But in the past, I have argued with people who have a shitty attitude. If you're blaming the Jungler for you problems, or spam ? pinging your teammates all the time when they miss a skill shot - that's what I can't tolerate. Unfortunately this approach "feels good" in the moment but typical makes things worse and probably results in a few extra losses because the toxicity snowballs.

I was stuck Silver for about 3 years, and it was changing my approach to toxic players that suddenly bumped me through Gold and into Platinum last season. I finally resolved to simply treat them like another game obstacle and recognize that the other team has them just as often as yours (more so if you consider that you are not toxic so your team always has 1 well behaved player).

Sometimes the hardest thing is to let them rage, let them think they are right, but not engage with them ... and not derail the team or tilt them further by arguing or even talking to them at all. In my experience there is no reasoning with these kinds of people - and trying to only makes things worse. Its really shitty that these people exist, but you have to endure it, survive it, and hope that you never get matched with them again.

Even still, it wears on me and affects the overall enjoyment of the game. You can shut them out as a means to an end - but you're right there should be a better way to curb this behavior. We used have the Tribunal - but I think the implementation caused some people to not take it seriously - rather to condemn as many people as possible. I'd like to see Riot take another crack at that system.

I guess you can always play with pre-made teams :)

Also, I feel exactly as you do. I just want to win. Nothing else matters in a competitive setting. Play properly, have fun, but win. Win. Win. Stop trolling. Trolls need to be banned. And the excuse of "it cannot be detected" is complete nonsense. I know a lot of programmers that can write programs that can detect half the stuff that goes on.

The problem is the game, Riot lost hundreds of millions in revenue last year and many players have been quitting, those quitting players where your dedicated nice players that cared about and enjoyed the game. The reason they are quitting and the reason Riot is losing millions of dollars and players is because they are dragging the game down. They are basically just pulling an EA, Skins are costing more and are offering worse gfx and particles and lower quality, they are making skins for champions on repeat, like 5 yi skins in 2 years or 4 ahri skins in 2 years. Because they just sell them to the kids that like to spam the broken champions or the idiots that buy skins for waifu big tittie girls.

They haven't even made a decent change to the game since before season 6. It all started with adding dynamic queue, they lost a lot of serious ranked players back then and it's been going downhill since.

All that coupled with the fact that peoples champions have been getting nerfed and damage is just ridiculous at this point and its just early game 4v2 blowups bot lane every game has left a lot of players pissed off and frustrated. They also won't ever ban anyone ever for inting so thats a part of it to.

All of this together just means that we play with a bunch of salty people that are always tilted and pissed off. Hence the toxicity.

Every new champion is just one shotting everything and dashing all over the place as well so there is that aspect to, nobody enjoys playing against any of the new champions ever.

Another thing is the cancer honor and punishment system, if you get one chat restriction throughout the season at all at any point you are like 95>5 to lose your season rewards. To get back to honor level 2 takes anywhere from 500-800 games and thats if you get honors from your teammates.

So with people not even receiving season rewards anymore most people don't give a shit at all about anything that goes on in game anymore.

our brain is good at protecting us from our own mistakes. even if the entire world knows it was your mistake, your brain might tell you "its their mistake" i guess thats why so many ppl are so toxic.

My account got banned and i want to get it back if is possible

Only thing I can think of in terms of changing punishments that would work would be to force players to link their accounts to something personally identifying, preventing them from easily creating a new account if their account gets permabanned. At the same time, the threshold for permabanning an account should be increased (maybe add 1 month, 2 month and 6 month bans before perma).

Riot probably won't do it, though, because the only personally identifying thing that Riot could reasonably ask you for would be to link your account to a phone, and (contrary to Blizzard's belief) not everyone has a smart phone.

There are a bunch of reasons for this. I posted this huge thread about it a long time ago but the usual people just downvoted without reading it (clearly because it happened within 12 seconds of posting and it was too large to be read that fast) and I doubt many others read it at all.

Among them is the mentality that a lot of people have now but mostly it is due to the way Riot has handled the game lately and the way the reward this behavior and punish proper play.

It hurts bud I know. I try to do the same and people are determined to be jerks for no reason other than they can. I'm sure you appreciate that fact of life, but it doesn't make it any easier to deal with, especially in a pass time that's supposed to be fun like a video game, however competitive.
