Top lane is even more hated by jg after patch.

i play in low silver and only about 1 in 15 or so games do i receive a gank top lane.

this is a huge problem that has been going on for a long time.

i have noticed that some games i get camped top by the enemy jg though.

this can only be explained by ppl duoing in some of my games though because duh, no jg ever ganks top otherwise.

the new patch has made it even worse. nobody cares about ganking for top lane and havving 2 thousand rift herald spawns is not goiing to fix that.

No matter what role you play, you should play under the assumption you won't get a gank.

If the top laner isn't very behind they should outlevel the jungle significantly because they destroyed Jg exp. This means ganking top lane is a liability if the top laner is remotely competent.

If u want to lose a game , gank toplane. If u want to win the game and gain LP camp mid or bot.

Useless role top is

My best tip for you is to ask the jungle in champ select if you're getting ganks that game and pick accordingly, some champs are better at taking pressure and avoiding ganks.

Sadly, as a former top main, the role is simply sad right now, I legit don't understand how people still play it. I myself would rather go support than top since it's way more impactful.

Honestly I enjoy getting camped.

  1. I tend to play safe. I'm likely the second best player in vision score on my team after support.
  2. It lets my team do more with less jungle pressure.
  3. I'm taking that double kill. Sure, it would be fun to bully my opponent and keep him from farming, but exerting lane pressure to even letting jungler babysitting top is great too. Besides, if I do manage to lose lane, I could just group up and start getting assists, or split push when safe to catch up in farm. My tankiness and runes can help me stay afloat. If my jungler never ganks top for me, thats fine. Top is a lonely role and I quite enjoy that. I'll just have to adapt.

I honestly want to get camped because i know how to play around it. As much time as jungler spends on my lane the better. Since i can just freeze it and prevent my other laners to die :P That's how i win most of my games ^^

top lane main here, i'd prefer to get camped by enemy jg for the record

It helps my team get ahead and even if i lose lane my four team members have more presence than their 3.

It's not all that hard to get back into a match, a tower and a shut down will do it, though obviously farm is a good idea too

Time to adjust to the meta then. Or if you know how to properly jungle, and you keep getting junglers who dont, maybe start jungling.
