This Really Bothered me to the Point of Saying Goodbye to League *Rant*

Look, I know the kind of community that exists on this game. So please have mercy in the comment section. I'm not asking for moral support, or for anyone to give a $@%^. I just wanted an official comrade goodbye from the solo Q grinders out there. Its been a hell of a ride. From a great game to whatever we call this thing now. Not looking for drama but honestly fed up.

Moral of the story - I could not accept the fact that I would not be receiving my ranked division icon due to a chat restriction I received near season end.

I worked very hard to climb in ranked solo Q, countless of nights I played on a solo Q grind to achieve something that I earned on my own.

But to have a company tell me that I will not receive the icon that I worked very hard for to show on my profile, due to a chat restriction. I'm done dudes.

I submitted a ticket expressing my opinion on refusing a players ranked icon from punishments and submitted that below. But I cannot continue to care for

a game when clearly they don't give a %@$% about us.

I will see you guys in the next big game, anything that is better then this. Peace.

I'm sorry you feel that way, and you're certainly entitled to that feeling.

The fact that it feels like a big, frustrating loss is, however, intentional. Many players don't care about the skin, and if that's all they'll lose then it's not a very major incentive to behave. Ranked rewards, however, are a big deal, and the risk of losing them provides a larger incentive to remain well-behaved.

Riot does care about their community, which is why they made sure that the penalty for failing to abide by community rules stings.

The requirements to receive end-of-season rewards were known to you before receiving a chat restriction.

And shame on you for taking it out on the rep, giving them a hard time about the "support" they gave you. They have rules to follow too, and can't give you what you're asking for, as your punishment was not placed in error.

I had a game a few days ago where I was ganged up on by two premades for muting their ping spam. They told me to die, called a [redacted] ape, a racial slur or two, and then griefed by my jungler. I didn't feed, I helped my team, earned MVP and solo won by backdooring. Riots response was to give me copy paste responses until I finally got a human to read my ticket. Then I was told the typical "will review, cant tell you what we do for reasons but trust us" meanwhile since then both premades have played a grand total of 23 games. I enjoy the game too much to quit but its definitely made me play a fair bit less.

They give a shit about us. Hell, Riot's much better than any other game company I know about caring for, communicating with, listening to, and all around caring about their players.

What they don't do is "give a shit" about toxicity. They give a shit about the tens of millions of players who never get a single chat restriction. That's who they make this game for. They aren't going to treat you special when you violate the rules. What would the point of rules be then?

Since others have already seemingly addressed your post, I just want to focus on the when it happened. You mentioned near the end of the season. Depending on how late that was, even before the honor system was introduced you may have missed the rewards. As Riot has always had a "Punished or active punishment here or after means no rewards".

lol funny... 2 years ago i started playing... then I realized how toxic the community was. I couldnt understand why people were so mean. One day i blew up on someone who was flaming me and I got banned for 2 weeks. Called him a F... So yea.. after that I got a few chat restrictions and then realized what was going on. Its sort of a social lil bitch game we play not to get reported. Theres all these schemes.. U try to get the enemy team on your side when you go to /all to get someone reported. You try to play the victim so your teammates blame the other guy. Its really a game of its own. Well I cant say I really play that game much, I tend to just straight up tell people they are untrained monkeys. But I see people play the "report" game. But what can you do. I dont think we should be mean to each other but I honestly think I'm as toxic today as the people that used to flame me 2 years ago. Its something about this game.

I had honor 4 a week ago till I got into an argument with someone that started flaming me. Naturally I flamed the fuk out of him back. Then he proceeded to play the /all game and got the enemy team involved. Know and behold I got reported and a 10 match chat restriction. And as it programmed, lost all my honor. Its obvioulsy unfair to lose months worth of honor over a chat restriction, but I think blizzard does that bc they want you to have little things in the game to grind for. Kinda like WoW there's always a grind. And a grind = you play their game more.

Also they dont give a fck.. they have 5 millions players they dont care who comes and goes. Companies only care about the customers when they're in threat of dying. Thats why I dont give a shit about companies like Riot or Blizzard and EA. Theyre making millions off of us and could give two shits what we think.. as long as their games are pumping that money out.
