About player reform experiment

So, Riot is attempting an experiment with reforming permanently banned accounts. I believe this is a great experiment. However, I'm concerned with how the data may be interpreted.

Basically, what ratio of "reform : relapse" is Riot going to find acceptable?

Personally, I would be fine with anything with reform > 0.

Let's break down the worst case scenario.

You have permanent banned account. You attempt to reform them. It fails. What was the worst thing Riot did in this instance? They allowed someone to play their game and then re-banned them. Not a big deal, that is already happening right now. Toxic people make a new account then get banned again later.

That's literally worst case scenario. That is why I believe if even 1 person is reformed through this experiment, the system is worthwhile. Reform and forgiveness ADDS positivity into the game.

I think where most people are going to disagree with me, is in their hate. They can't see the value of giving charity to a "toxic" player.

The issue is that if only 1 person reforms, that means everyone else was still toxic. Allowing one player to reform at the expense of hundreds, if not thousands of toxic players who continued to be toxic is not acceptable and should not be acceptable.

I doubt Riot is going to release their goal. They will likely release statistics after the experiment is over, as they did last time they did this years and years ago.

So... are they cherry picking accounts mts or something?

And is this rumor or did they actually say something?
