Trolls get you chat restricted

RIOT has a serious community problem with trolls and their policies. Riot policy let's troll ruin games and when the other people call out that troll for their actions, the troll can report everyone and they all get an auto chat restriction. Great example is in my last game the person who chose support decided they wanted to go mid and ruined the game by trolling in mid. The jungle then rage quit. While the support was mid, everyone kept telling him to go support like he chose. He said he chose mid and refused. The other team even commented about his behaviour. After the game ended, the support told the other team to report his toxic team, which is untrue. Nothing said in chat was toxic. People were telling him to go support is all, no one said he was crap player (which he was as he inted first blood as well), but because comments were made about him not being in his lane, chat restriction.
RIOT policy encourages toxic behaviours and their auto reporting system enforces that bad behaviour because it penalizes any communication among the team.

RIOT is the toxicity in the game as their work culture has been shown to be toxic as well in the news.

Multiple reports do not increase the likelihood of being punished.

It takes one report to trigger a game for automatic, unbiased review. Additional reports have no bearing on the automatic system's review.

I sincerely doubt that you just told him to go to his lane, and I'll politely ask you to share your unedited chat logs from the game. You don't receive punishments for no reason, you said something that was flagged as negative by the automatic system.

There's no reason to interact with that person. Not going to your assigned lane in Ranked is a punishable offense and falls under the griefing category, going back and forth with them all game is pointless and only serves to set yourself up for punishment.
