Got banned for "Inting"

I have just been banned and I understand that this ban is technically correct. However it is a bit more complicated than that...

It was decided from the beginning by the majority of the team that we would forfeit the match, due to a troll / "afk" on our team. We did not want to wait until minute 20 until we could forfeit. We could not forfeit before that, due to the troll.

Let me briefly explain the background:

  1. We were in champ select and mordekaiser got banned.
  2. Our toplane wanted to play mordekaiser and picked nami, and went afk (spamming spells not to technically go afk, but he was not present)
  3. We decided as a team (except for the afk ofcourse) that we would like to forfeit this game and all acted accordingly, leaving our lanes open.
  4. I did try to make the most fun of the situation, considering that I would loose my LP anyway. Yes, I did get killed a lot while making fun.

I got banned for two weeks for the reason of "intentional feeding" however whereas this might be technically correct, it was decided by the whole team that we would forfeit.

As a teamplayer I respected the decision we made as a team and did not act against it.

How do you see it? is it justified? Is there a chance I could get bailed out of jail? Usually I never feed and I play until the very end and don't /ff no matter how far behind we are.

First of all, opening lanes isn't allowed, even if all five players on your team agrees to do so. The enemy team queued up for a legitimate match, and the only legitimate means of forfeiting is through the Surrender vote or /Remake. It sucks that you had to deal with a troll/AFK, but that doesn't mean that you're allowed to just give up the match in-progress and open lanes.

Beyond that, straight-up intentionally feeding isn't excusable. If that's your means of having fun in a game that you've already decided you don't want to play, then you need to find better ways to enjoy the game, because no matter which way you cut it, intentionally feeding will always be punishable.

How do you see it? is it justified? Is there a chance I could get bailed out of jail?

Between opening lanes and wilfully feeding the opponents, yeah, the punishment is justified, and it's more than unlikely that you could have the punishment appealed.

Submit a ticket

I could see them potentially overturning it assuming it happened along these lines.

If you guys have already decided it will be a loss, why not just stand still at the beginning so you can get a remake?

Let me start by saying I thank you all for your comments. I did not know I'd receive so much feedback in such a short amount of time.

What I get from the discussion is that this topic is clearly regulated in the rules, however my case is very controversial.

There might not be a right or wrong here but I haver submitted a ticket asking for reconsideration.

@Umbral Regent I understand you know the rules well and I appreciate that. However I already wanted to point out that the decision might be "technically" correct, but morally worthy of reconsideration. Does that sound like it makes sense?

Riot has to punish the rules equally to everyone and you broke the rules even if what you did wasn't in malicious intent it wasted the time of the enemy team and is a fair ban.

Another case of the automated system being way over strict.

Justified. You cant even give me a lane phase? Now i gotta play a game with no opponents? Cant even have some laning against someone? I wouldve reported all of you. I understand your chances of winning are essentially zero, but now youre gonna waste my time too because of it? At least be an opponent to play against. I didnt want to play against nobody. Its a shitty situation for you, but the ban is justified. never int. It went from a bad game for 4-5 people, to a bad game for 9-10 people because you decided not to be a legitimate opponent.
