Why isn't the full game chat of logs shown when you are penalized?
I just got a 10 game chat restriction, and just got me wondering why isn't everyone else's chat logs shown... These people were toxic to me back? Doesn't make sense.

You get punished based on your actions, not on everybody else's actions
Because you don't agree to not be toxic unless provoked, you agree to not be toxic. Therefore other players' actions have no bearing on your punishment. There's no "but he started it" defence in league.
Becausw you're responsible for your actions not theirs and if its as bad as you think they were probably punished too.
The short answer is that what anyone else does is irrelevant. There's nothing anyone can say or do that makes toxic chat become okay.

Because irrelevant information really isn't necessary and it forces you to focus on YOUR chat and how to improve YOUR chat. If you were able to justify everything you said in your head, you would never really learn the rules. You would play a game with yourself that Riot isn't participating in. The point of punishments is for you to learn the rules and follow them. It's not some lesson in morality. They're simply showing you where you broke the rules, so that you can prevent it in the future. It would just cause confusion if kids were able to over analyze their logs and justify it. The whole point would be lost on them.
Because if they put the entire conversation, most people would agree you were justified in telling that douche bag off. So they only include what you said.
It's Riots attempt to parent you. Just type "I Understand" and move on with your life. You already have parents, you don't need a new one.
Because league doesn't understand basic things like responding. Basically just mute everyone at the start of every game and do your thing if you are someone who responds to trolls like me. I cant just sit there and take getting question mark spammed cuz my jungle dove the adc and support, but if you comment on it you get banned, so mute everyone's messages, pings, and emotes and move on. Of course your game play will suffer as you cant see correspondence from others, but it will stop you from getting banned in the long run.
Simply because in most cases, toxicity comes after being flamed. If you could show that you were harassed and then retaliated, youd be able to make solid cases for yourself in terms of relieving the bans/suspensions whatever. However, the system is blind to reasons, if you do anything toxic or along those lines, youre done. Riot doesn't care about the reason. You can be victim all game, for 30 minutes get flamed, and if you say one thing back you are then reportable, and the system doesn't care about the rest of the game, only that you did something wrong. Personal opinion, poor system, lets get tribunal back. But yeah, they don't show full logs cause then when you post them here people might actually agree with you lol.

Youre responsible for your actions, and apparently other faceless peoples actions as well. Since giving someone the "kys" treatment is bannable.
I believe the automated system can only handle a workload.. and the algorithms are nowhere near human level intelligence. Adding in more human ques to comprehend would require more work/money. Leaving out context makes it simple and quick to pass judgement. There are millions of players playing this game, if a few thousand go missing every week who will notice?

The logs are there not (just) as evidence, but as a tool for you use in order to avoid future punishments. Only your behaviour is in your control, so it focusses on that.
