Arguing is against the rules?

I talked to the shitty riot support and they told me "arguing is against the rules".

So what every person does basically is against the rules? Do you ever get in a game without a argument?

I just would like to point out that I'll get in trouble for arguing, not name calling or trolling but 2 guys I played with today trolled my game because I refused to give up my adc spot then refuse to surrender "should of let me ad, so no ff" but they won't get punished.

When my friends and I get together to play roleplaying games, we have a "90-second rule" that would probably be helpful, though I would change it to 30 seconds for League. The rule is, if you're arguing for more than 90 seconds, you have gone too far. Everyone involved has to stop and we agree to only discuss it once the game is over.

In League, if you want to say, "Hey, I really needed that blue" or "Just let me farm for a couple of waves to catch up", that's more than fine. An extended row in team chat does no one any good.

Arguing can be as it's seen as spamming chat.

Basically everything is against the rules in the League of Preschoolers.

Heated argument.

What do you think getting into a heated argument with that person will fix?

The time you spend arguing is also time you could be spending focusing on the match and trying to win it. Either by focusing on your farming, trading, dodging skillshots, keeping track of objectives, etc. All of those are going to help you win the game more than getting the last word in against the nitwit that has irritated you.

Most arguments in League certainly aren't helpful. But to say it's against the rules is just insane. Most players at every rank are learning. Arguments typically are a result of that and disallowing them prevents learning. Sure it may come at the expense of one game. But if they learn something they might have multiple games become better due to it.

Without the particular circumstances it's easy to judge the OP. And I don't condone the negative here... I just think there's a positive as well.
