Toxic

I made my first account in season 4 and it was perma banned in season 6 for being toxic. I made another account in season 6 that was perma banned towards the end of s6 for being toxic. I used an old alternative account I made in season 4 leveled it to 30 and it was perma banned in the beginning of season 7. At first being perma banned was upsetting, I felt like something was being taken away from me that I worked for, each time i got perma banned I cursed riot for it. Calling them unjust and their system broken. I devised a plan to make tons of accounts so that everytime i got banned I could just start up another level 30 and act like nothing happened. That was until my fourth main was 1 strike from being permabanned.

I didn't want to have to start fresh again. Sure I have other level 30's but they don't have all the runes and champions that I worked for. I came to the conclusion that insulting someone for being unskilled or making mistakes was not worth losing my account so I decided after my 14 day ban that I was going to keep mouth shut unless I had something to say that was polite or strategy related. It worked great for the first few weeks, i slipped a few times saying things very borderline toxic but not quite there. The majority of the time I /mute all and said nothing. Soon after working hard to not say What i wanted i realized that being toxic is a habit, and like all habits it can be broken. If you stop being toxic and learn to keep your mouth shut you can break the habit, when someone makes a game breaking mistake you wont say anything, you'll just accept it for what it is move on and keep your account, you just have to break the habit. Just tell yourself repeatedly that its not worth it. Insulting them is not worth losing your account.

Now, when someone is toxic to you don't say anything, and report them. It feels unsatisfying i know, they started it and you want to finish it. But heres the thing. Riots system has turned reporting into a weapon, sure they say words to you insult you. But in the end you get to report and that will eventually lead to them getting banned and you did that to them you took there account away from them and all they did was type some crap into chat. Getting them punished while you are free is the most toxic thing you can do to them in league of legends and it is soooo much more satisfying, to see someone rage in chat at you and you know that what they are saying is going to get them punished its soooo much better than being toxic back. I love it. Im not ashamed to admit that. Once you break habit of being toxic and learn to keep your mouth shut, you wont get banned and all of the people who piss off will. 9 times out of 10 the unskilled player thats costing you your game will be toxic and you get him or her banned.

I mean come on, riot gives you the power to have someones account taken away and your going to jeopardize that just to tell someone there autistic? It took me a very very long time to understand this, i wanted to be rebel and fight riots system then i realized riots system is a massive toxic poisonous weapon that you can beat your enemies to death with and you don't even get punished for it. GO RIOT!

On a side note : For the people trying to stop being toxic, my account did not get the final strike, i've played over 100 matches and I got my loot back. The best part is that when I go to sleep, i don't have to worry about waking up to a banned account.

Hey guys, just making a note here that the OP is not fighting against his punishments, this thread is about how he eventually learned from it and is trying to help others with the same before they learn the hard way.

Just try to be a nice person then. There's really no actual issue with their report and banning system

Lol a lot of people are confused by this post. Wow. Steady decline in intelligence these days. Too many video games maybe.

What will you do when 3 of you teammates are 0-10, and you are 4-0, will you cry? So that won't make you toxic right?

OK, so he's learned from it. But what has he learned? Most probably how to troll and bait people into getting themselves reported and subsequently punished.

@ DTN And here you are patting him on the back for it lol.

This is amazing to see and read. Even though it took you a while, I'm glad you realized how it's not worth being toxic anymore. You made the decision to reform your behavior and not many are capable to strive like you've been able to. Congratulations on breaking your habit. I hope one day we run into each other in a game!

You make a great point. That's what keeps me calm during games where I'm getting trash talked. I always know I am going to win in the end.

There are some pretty fatalistic attitudes on boards about reports; the fact is, the more players report, the more toxic people get banned. Just keep hitting report when it's appropriate and the community improves in small steps at a time.
