I just got banned defending myself without raging.

Chat logs posted. I am trying to reform. I understand now that I'm not allowed to use chat ever, not even to defend myself. Let this post serve as a warning, Riot does not care if you are being victimized.

Please keep in mind that I understand that I could have just muted them. I apologize for not doing so. But does this really warrant a 2 WEEK BAN from the game?

During this game I played from behind safely while my mid and top went a combined 25 deaths in a 20 minute game.

I just got a 2 week suspension because the entire team raged, flamed, and called me names while literally all I did was defend myself.

This is ridiculous. I don't swear, I don't even say bad things in chat. I didn't call for reports. I didn't rage at anyone. The worst insult I said the entire game was "You are being dumb, it's not my fault you lost your lane."

I am so sick of Riot banning people for defending themselves from verbal harassment. Literally harassed to tears, and I'm the one who gets banned for two weeks. This is ridiculous. Riot literally allows streamers to repeatedly call their teammates foul language words and IRL threats, but I can't defend myself from abuse. Real?

In-Game

Kai'sa, Pantheon, and Veigar get into an argument after Veigar dies for the third time in 3 minutes. At someone point, Veigar says something rude and Kai'sa reacts.

Me: hes just inting ignore him

Veigar and Pantheon asking me why I'm not ganking their lanes after falling too far behind.

Me: its gg

Me: nothing i can do against someone who hard ints a j4

Me: my early game advantage is gone

Me: nah this games over

Kai Sa and Yuumi having a conversation about why the other two lanes are losing and why I'm unable to effectively gank.

Me: veigar literally just hard inted

Me: at level 2 everyone knows that if j4 is ganking you surivive it and win the game

Me: instead he died 3 times lol

Upon having my second and third red buffs taken because I'm not safe in the jungle, and I'm being spam pinged.

Me: i cant even go to my red buff because of veigar

Panthon then rages at me and says it is my fault the game is lost and that he is going to report me.

Me: how it it my fault that veigar died to a level 2 gank

Me: dude

Me: you are so dumb

Veigar death #6 or 7, him raging in chat.

Me: veigars dead again btw

Me: j4 might be at my blue guys

Veiger talking trash from beyond the grave after his 10th death.

Me: dude youve died 10 times

Me: like holy shit

Me: how are you blaming the lee sin

Me: for a 10 death mid laner

Whole team is on the raging at me hard now. No one is playing the game. Everyone is just flaming me.

Me: you have to understand when your bot laner has 500 ping and the j4 has 4 kills on mid by 4 minutes

Me: so i do the smart hing

Just about to have the game be over. The next to comments are in all chat, met with lulz.

Me: my team says its my fault that top and mid have 400 deaths between them. which is fine, but i wish theyd stop raging at me about it

Whole team agrees to report me for???

Me: report me for what lmao you guys are raging at me for no reason

Post-Game

Whole team gangs up on me while the enemy ezreal hard defends me.

Me: what?

Me: you cant blame me for you dying 10 times mid to ganks when you ahd wards that literally saw j4 there

Me: this j4 literally showed himself mid and you flashed into leblanc lol

No one care what the others said. Posting the actual chat logs in the reform card would be better.

You didn't get banned for defending yourself. Defending yourself is muting them. Now, we can infer that you have had previous punishments. If that included a 25 game chat restrict, a 14 day would be the next step.

Yes, actually. Mute, report, move on. All "defending yourself" does is bring you down to that level. You kept the argument going instead of just tuning out.

The system doesn't punish based on severity alone. It punishes based on consistency x severity, meaning you can be punished for 1 game of extreme toxicity or many many games of mild toxicity.

So you comparing yourself to Tyler1 doesn't mean much.

But I'm guessing you have a habit of giving up early or accusing others of inting? It's the consistency of such similar behavior that got you punished.

Also (and I think you know this already), there's is no need to defend yourself against people asking for reports. False reports don't do anything to your account and multiple reports don't make anyone get punished any faster.

You should post your full chat logs if you want honest feedback regarding them. There's a copy button on your reform card.

While Tyler 1's behavior was negative, you should keep 2 things in mind. He did not type that in chat, which Riot actively reviews via their Instant Feedback System. The other players to whom he was speaking also opted into that chat, and they can opt out, if they so choose.
