I dont understand the punishment system.

Hey,

So I am trying to learn league of legends. Barely played it years ago. Getting back into it again. But since I suck right now, everyone just flames me or tells me to die or how my mental intelligence is based off my gameplay. So I mute them right? But then I have people run down my lane and die on purpose or they ping me over and over since I stop responding to them. This happens all the time.

So I just go and play something else. But then I get reported for leaving the game after everyone is so awful to me when I just wanted to have fun and then I have an afk thing and warnings for trying to play then getting horassed to the point I dont wanna play in the same game as those players. I dont see how this is fair to me. I dont even want to get back into this game again because this happens often and it sucks. Great community you have here.

Lol and people still dont understand why Riot created rules against toxicity :/

Anyways, yeah everyone gets flamed from time to time. You can mute their chat and mute their pings. After game you can and should report them for harassment. Riot hands out punishments like candy to these nerdy kids who think being good at league is something to brag about.

Of course reporting only serves as a deterrent, not prevention... kinda same with muting. The damage has already been done sometimes. So yeah, if muting doesnt suffice, you will continue to be flamed and maybe its best you just dont play this game.

You should consider though, that you shouldnt take those insults personally. Random anonymous strangers insulting you should not really dig deep. I understand if it does. but just try thinking of it that way; they dont know anything about you. Why take it seriously?

Don't bother trying to understand it. It's a Trash system run by a company getting sued by it's own employees. Just don't type. Its the only way.
