My account got permabanned and I don't know why.

Hi everyone Before I go into any further detail about what happened, I would just like to mention that I took an extended break from league after this ordeal as it really just frustrated me so much. I don't know how much things changed since October 2017 but id like to give this thing one more shot.

Heres the deal. Somewhere in October of 2017, I logged into my account only to be met by the "PERMANENTLY BANNED" screen and my heart stopped. I got super scared and confused, and in my panic started reading the chat logs of the game they sent me. As I was reading these chats I couldn't remember any of that happening. Nothing made sense. So I ended up contacting riot through the ticket system and they just said that my account was escalated through the various levels of punishment and was therefore permabanned. I however at the time, just recently got back to league as I took a 2-month break because I had to study for college.

So I didn't understand how I was permanently banned without any prior notice. I tried to explain to them that the account should have been inactive and that I haven't gotten any recent banns that would explain an automatic perma bann. I even asked them to check the IP address on the computer playing in that 2-month time gap, as it could have been someone with my acc info. But no they didn't do anything saying "it wasn't a security compromise" even though they didn't even check. I honestly didn't know what else to do.

For the game they sent me chat logs that got me banned the chat had in total: 2 swear words.. And I couldn't believe it. If you consider that there are people who say things that are a hundred times worse and swear without control but aren't getting banned, this was absolutely infuriating. I was hoping that some of you could please help me in trying to get Riot to listen to reason because they just don't want to listen to me. I've spent a good 4 years playing this game and a lot of money that isn't easy to make. If you guys need any further detail regarding this, just ask.. Anyways thanks for the help!

Unfortunately, none of us here can help you with this. That's something support would have to handle. If they said it was you, I'm not sure if there's much that can be done about it, especially after this much time has passed. I'm not assuming that it really was or wasn't you, just being realistic about expectations.

This ultimately doesn't mean much without seeing the logs themselves. People can be punished for not swearing at all; conversely, those that swear often don't necessarily need to be punished. It's all about attitude and intent. Someone who says "You're trash" in chat is much more likely to be punished than someone who says "Shit, I fucked up".

After seeing that you posted the log in the comments, those are definitely punishment worthy. Had you received other punishments before this one? Because as much as I'm inclined to believe you, something seems wrong. That one game alone shouldn't have escalated you to a permanent suspension on its own, so either there are more logs or you already had a history of bad behavior. I would like to be proven wrong since you seem to be genuine, but I have to be a little skeptical.
