Higher ARAM dodge penalties needed

it's far too common that people dodge in ARAM, and it wastes a LOT of people's time. It's quite common to have 2-3 dodges happen before you finally get a game. And people don't dodge early, they usually wait until the last second, which wastes everyone's time. It's extremely inconsiderate of those other people to waste everyone's time like that. If you're not willing to accept taking a random hero, don't play aram, it's as simple as that. Rules should be enforced; and in particular, punishments should scale based on frequency of violation. internet isn't that unstable these days, there's no reason to give too much slack on that account. People who habitually dodge are clearly and willfully ignoring the rules; and the punishments should increase in scale based on that willful repeated violation. like have the amount of time they're prohibited from getting a game double each time, and trickle back down over time or something. also, the punishment should be higher for people who dodge at the last seconds, because A) it wastes more of everyone's time the longer they wait to dodge, and B) legitimate problems should be uniformly distributed over time, so last second dodgers are much more likely to be truly dodging rather than having a legit problem. it's frustrating to have so much time lost and having to reset stuff constantly because a subset of players are being rude; and it would be very simple to enforce rules that would stop the troublemakers without causing problems for anyone with legitimate issues.

Or even better, make it that if someone dodges that person gets the same champ again for the next match. This way dodging becomes almost useless.

What's your solution, flogging in the streets?

When someone dodges too much, they'll eventually get put in an LPQ. ARAM isn't a more or less important queue than any of the others, and there are already penalties for dodging.

People who dodge aren't dodging AT you - they aren't doing it to be rude.

The issue with making dodge penalties too large is that you would end up increasing the number of people who join the game but have no intention of trying to play in any meaningful way. They try to have the game end early as a form of "dodge".

I believe it should place them in a low-priority queue, so they can’t just switch from their ARAM-only account to their main for some norms/ranked, or just go do something else, while ignoring the penalty. So many ARAM players dodge if they don’t get Lux, Xerath, or Sona.

Another option that’s been going around the Boards since forever is just to fully unlock all champions for everyone in ARAM.
