I was just wondering since there is already chat restric wouldnt it make more sense for riot to add perma chat restric instead of banning players for toxicity....Like me and other people put so much time on those accounts, some even bunch of money and on end just to get banned for saying somone some insults after somone inted a game and ruined somones promos? if you gonna punish them for too much talking wouldnt it make more sense to dont let them talk instead to not let them play? :) i am sorry my bad i meant perma chat restrict for somone who is flaiming not for people who are inting and trolling

Riot tried this. It simply led to more in-game trolling and players using "who has the highest chat restriction" as bragging rights. It's also very frustrating to unpunished players who might now end up with someone who simply can't talk even if important information needs to be passed on.

No, cause like everything else that is negative it'll always escalate to the next level. "Oh, i'll just say gg ez, nothing bad right?" - first game "Oh i'll call him trash, nothing bad right?" - second game "OH HE'S ###### ME UP I'LL GO FULL TOXIC ON HIM FOR DOING THIS" - other games After chat restriction "Welp, I can't say anything.....;-;" "Oh i'll just spam pings and inting to show him i'm not ####### around"

^^^^ This is the mentality of toxicity when it escalates. Instead of actually playing the game...No they'll spend time being toxic and ruining everyone's experiences for the sake of one person - yourself. It doesn't work like that and if the toxic player doesn't reform they will deserve a perma ban.

Like me and other people put so much time on those accounts some even bunch of money

This should be an ENCOURAGEMENT to not be toxic in the first place. In the creation of an account...

You agree to the League of Legends summoner's code

You can't override that and expect to get mercy. Just like how you don't give other players mercy with your salt.

They once had really long chat restrictions, people that recieved chat restrictions longer than 25 games were alot more likely to start inting. Since inting is a 1000 times harder to detect, it's not worth the risk.

Other than that, you get so many warnings and chances. It's really not hard to not flame. If someone is flaming you, mute them and report them. If someone is trolling you, stay quiet, play the best you can, and report them after the game. That way you don't bring down the morals of the rest of your team even further.

Riot did permachat before, it simply created more Intentional Feeding, AFK & trolling activities since that's the only way toxic players can react to their frustrations.

So no. Most punished players should have reformed when they got chat restricted or 14 days suspended. If you can't reform after these 3 chances, then you might as well leave the game.

It really breaks down into two categories.

1.) Helping players reform 2.) Shielding others from the behavior, at a cost.

We used to issue chat restrictions that essentially scaled indefinitely.

We were able to determine that after a certain point the penalty no longer helped with reform. The 10-game and 25-game counts for chat restrictions are based on data that they were both light enough, and felt strict enough to encourage people to understand their behavior is unacceptable in game and change it.

We also saw that the players in this 'large restriction' category defaulted to gameplay altering means of harassing their team. It caused an increase in feeding and trolling.

The sample size of this population and time frame is huge. Essentially the time spanning from the introduction of chat restrictions to the introduction of IFS.

So my question for you is, would you rather have more feeders and less negative chat?

You don't deserve your account.

I don't know... I think communication is a vital part of the game, talking with teammates helps prevent League from becoming an only 'me' game. I use chat for things that pings can't relay like strategizing or planning ahead and being unable to do so would make me feel isolated. League is supposed to be a multiplayer experience and chat restrictions would take out a part of that... is what I think.
