Idea for punishing trolls in ranked next season.

Since sometimes chat bans don't help and account temp bans are kind of harsh for infrequent offenders, an alternative could be punishing someone by restricting access to ranked for a period of games. if someone is upset due to general rage and decides to troll, then gets reported my most of a game, having that player play a few normal games (3-10 based on severity and frequency) could make them less likely to troll in the future and also not ruin more ranked games. Potentially if someone is not deterred from this punishment, disabling ranked for them for that third of the season could be a possibility as well. Just some ideas from a passionate player.

Then they'll just bring their toxicity to normals. Which is just as unacceptable.

...and make normal a "prisoner island" that also includes non-toxic inhabitants? I don't think so

i agree with you man but the fact that their behavior will be implemented in normal games too makes this idea out of consideration ... therefore i am sure there are better ideas to make them stop .. good luck my friend

I think it's an interesting idea, but it would just make normals worse. If a person can't contain their attitude in ranked, they're not likely to be any better in normals. Restricting toxic players to games with only bots to play with might accomplish this better, but then, why not just restrict their accounts? The idea is to force them to cool off, and I can speak from experience when I say that not playing at all is the best medicine for rage.
