A new command
Add a command /mute self, so you can type all the insults you want in the chat but noone can see them except you. Honestly would help some people a lot.

Or, and this is just a thought, you could not type that shit in the first place.

This functionality is already in the game, with only one small difference.
After typing, hit Esc instead of Enter. No one else can see what you sent via muted message. Differing from your suggestion, you are also unable to see what you sent as a muted message.
The IFS does not scan muted messages. It is completely unmoderated.
