Tribunal Improvement Suggestion (Please Upvote/Bump)

Right now there are so many people that abuse the system by doing all of their flaming in pregame/post-game because they know the chat isn't recorded into the tribunal. Anyone can say anything and get away with it most of the time. People can say "I'm going to feed if you don't dodge" and then go into the game and BS their way to safety because the lobby chat isn't recorded. There are so many ways to abuse this. I'm sure you've seen plenty.

Examples of people abusing this system:

  • "I only play mid, going to feed since I didn't get my role" (trying to get other people to dodge for you or forcing them to switch roles)
  • "F this guy he ruined my last game, someone dodge or I'm done" (rage)
  • "Don't care just going to play ADC support and take all your farm" (trolling) And the list goes on.

This is a constant issue with me and no one ever wants to dodge so it becomes my duty. But after dodging 3 times in 1 day and spending 20 minutes in queues and 30 minutes waiting for dodge penalties I will end up not being able to play much at all.

Conclusion: Make an Out of Game Report System (pregame/post-game)

Making an out of game report system would:

  • Reduce Queue Time (By reducing the amount of trolling in lobbies, you reduce the amount of dodging, therefore the overall queue time is severely reduced. People would be more inclined to not troll in lobby, so in the end they would either get banned or stop trolling. Overall this would probably cut dodging nearly in half. With games getting out more quickly, there would be more people to play with reducing the queue time overall. I am averaging about 1 dodge per game with 20 minutes queue times. That queue time easily moves up to 30 because of a 10 minute wait after a dodge plus the amount of time I wasted selecting champions the first time. Not to mention they target ban all the champs if you don't back out and wait for the next group.)
  • Reduce Dodging and Dodge Penalties (Goes with the first one hand in hand. If people will get banned for trolling, they'll stop trolling or get banned, therefore much less trolling. As a result you don't have to dodge nearly as much. These are basically all of my dodges.)
  • Reduce Trolling/BM (They will either get banned or stop trolling. See above.)
  • Improve Player Experience (Less wasting LP and waiting for penalties. Less players bringing negative attitude into the games. Overall more pleasant for the non-toxic players.)
  • Secure Roles. (Less having to give up your roles to the trolls to avoid them trolling in game. This is a constant issue for me.) And Possibly More benefits that I can't even think of.

I AM AWARE that Riot can see the pre game chat and post game. But if someone dodges they are not going to look at it. So people trying to force you to dodge so they don't have to will get away with it. Even if the game isn't dodged it will likely be gotten away with as I've seen many times. Riot cannot individually check every single pre-game/post-game chat. There are millions of games. This needs to be implemented into the tribunal to stop all this nonsense trolling. And there should probably even be a pre-game report feature for people that are trolling before the game starts and then intentionally dodging to avoid getting reported. For instance coming into lobby cursing someone out and calling them horrible things because of a previous game and then dodging.

One example from my own experience: A certain player didn't like the gank I gave him in one of my games earlier this season so he decided he was going to intentionally make my lose all of the games he played with me. He said in lobby chat over and over to everyone that I was terrible and he was going to make me lose and didn't care if he got banned. He proceeded to purposely ban out my best champion every game and intentionally make me lose over and over. At least 3 losses from this. I didn't want to dodge because I wanted to make sure this wouldn't go unreported. Due to this I had to lose 3 games just to make sure he got reported each time. I checked multiple days for the next week and he never stopped playing so he never got banned when he obviously should have been. Players like this are allowed to troll and get away with it while players in game simply say "wow you're bad" and get ranked restriction.

If you actually read this entire post you'll see that he has some very valid points. I've had similar experiences. Being a diamond player, and having been at other ranks, you guys have no idea how much more we need this than some of you. Diamond players are experts at abusing the tribunal system. They know how to troll and make it look like nothing. A lot of the time they are much more troll than lower elo players. One very common thing is spamming pings and saying sb sb sb sb. Which means so bad. But it's not incriminating enough to get them banned. They have a drive to make people feel bad about being at diamond. They want to make sure they understand they are trash and that it's their fault they lost. And so many times they will troll people that they think aren't good enough to win. Lobby chat should've been in the system years ago. I sometime get 5 dodges before I even start a game now. It's completely ridiculous.

Thank you for reading my whole post before commenting. People have a tendency to read the title or a tiny bit and rant before even finishing the whole thing or thinking about it, and it's unfair. Plus a lot of people don't understand. Being a fellow diamond player you understand the struggles that I've had to face myself which is why I made this post.

Just to add a little something. I know a lot of people hate the tribunal and would hate the idea of it being even more strict because a good amount of players have been banned at some point for something small. It's not hard to see why people would be opposed to this at first glance. But overall this will definitely improve player experience if they actually add this.

Because some people ruined it by make comments and replies that didn't make any sense. I wanted to make it simple because I thought that's what people wanted. But they didn't understand how this would make queue times shorter etc. So I went into detail on this one and re-wrote it.

Actually it seems like 90% or more of the posts on this section get down-voted. I think people on this part of the forums are just here to rant.
