So I've played Rammus last game and played poorly. Then three of my team and one from enemy decided to flame me in chat which I tried my best to regard them as some silly jokes, then the premade decided to mass report me and next thing I know I'm permanently banned. After my first suspension, I tried to be more careful on my behavior and I can tell you in confidence with certainly that I did NOT flame back, at most, I tried to turn it into a "funny conversation." For clarification, I'll paste the chat log which, unfortunately, only shows what I said: Game 1 LetsLoL: ezreal said we are inting LetsLoL: what is inting LetsLoL: exactly LetsLoL: so how dare he mock our decisions LetsLoL: omg varus LetsLoL: stop inting LetsLoL: am i using this word right LetsLoL: oh LetsLoL: what does it mean LetsLoL: oh LetsLoL: so what did ezreal mean by we are inting LetsLoL: its ok zoe LetsLoL: ull get used to the champ real soon LetsLoL: varus LetsLoL: stop it LetsLoL: guys LetsLoL: help me LetsLoL: varus talking smack in team chat LetsLoL: i think hes upset about khazix LetsLoL: cmon now i just wanted to gank mid first LetsLoL: do u always cry at ppl when u dont get the first line for lunch at school LetsLoL: welp ok LetsLoL: damn 4 mid LetsLoL: this is some serious counter jg LetsLoL: hey LetsLoL: what did i do LetsLoL: u report ppl for dying? tl;dr -> a premade flamed me for poor performance, I tried to play nice, they mass reported me, I'm permanently banned despite the flaming came from them and I did my best not to flame back which I didn't.

If, for some very interesting reason my ban is not lifted and the real justice is not brought upon the premade, at least please tell me the reason, otherwise, I'm going to die of curiosity.

Update - My ban has been lifted and now I'm working on redirecting it towards the people who truly deserved it. Extra thanks to zPOOPz who I just proved wrong.

This isn't the most negative chat out there, but it is still negative. You're devoting most of your chat to Varus, either by arguing with him or by insulting him.

That's probably the worst line. But every other line is about Varus, like you're inciting him to argue with you. He likely got reported for whatever he was arguing with you about, but I can't say I'd want your chat in my game either. There's hardly anything useful in it, and if you hadn't said anything, old man Varus might have stopped being cranky and played better, or at least have enjoyed his game.

As far as whether this warrants a permanent ban, I do think this is punishable, and if it followed a 2-week punishment, then this was the next step if you did not reform.

You can write a support ticket and dispute your case, as that would be the only way to overturn this punishment.

Riot doesn't want anyone to talk in their game. It is better to just take your Enter key off.

Look at this log again from the viewpoint of your other teammate(s) who is not part of the argument or pre-made. You are creating a very negative experience for them by clogging up the chat box with this pointless argument that cannot be resolved. If you forced them to mute the two of you, both of you already made the game experience terrible for them and both deserved the punishment.

This is mild stuffs that's for sure, but you mentioned that you already received a suspension (i'm assuming 14-day ban), then this is the next level. Your account toxic level is already too high from the suspension and this mild thing WILL push you into punishment territory.

Whether the premade got punished or not depends on their account toxic level and has absolutely no bearing on your own punishment.

If you ever create a new account, just learn to mute people at the first sight of flame. They are unlikely to have anything valuable to say for the rest of the game anyway. There is no such thing as mass report because there is no such thing as report weight.

You can create a support ticket to contest the ban, but I will give you this piece of advice. Do not use their flame as "justification" for your negative attitude that game. It will not end well for you. Make the support ticket about you and only about you.

You made the mistake of thinking they were engaging in friendly banter. I think they were serious and with the lack of tonal context that comes with text based communication, they took what you said serious as well. Also, I could be wrong, but it seems you were the one who escalated the banter by bringing it into all chat. You tell the other team that they've been talking smack in team chat. Why? Was this part of your "funny conversation"? Bringing it up to people who were in no way involved and telling them you're being smack talked? I guarantee they didn't look at that and think "hah this guys trying to be funny".

Just keep in mind that whatever is being said in chat, is looked at literally. Riot doesn't assume things are said in jest. They don't have time to decipher jokes and who's friends with who and who's having a laugh or who is serious. So don't engage in banter, is my only advice. Especially the kind of accusatory banter that you find to be "funny conversation".

EDIT: There's a reason people say "don't feed the trolls".
