Is Riot doing their job punishing feeders, griefers, and intentional afkers?

As a player who played this game since the introduction of Shyvana back in 2011 I am very disappointed at Riot for their lack of ability to punish players who feed or afk on purpose. About 8 months ago I was matched with a player and he has proceeded to feed on purpose as a Lee Sin with a 0 kill and 10 deaths in my game and found out that he has been consistently feeding his enemy team for almost 20 straight games over the span of 3 days and Riot what so ever did not take action until I submitted a ticket. They claim that reporting a player through the client after the game works I feel that is not true at all what so ever. I am sure any player would have reported that Lee Sin and now the Fizz I was recently matched with yet they are still able to play unpunished.

This Fizz has since the beginning threatened the team to afk if his teammates feed, he proceeded to afk after 8 minutes when the game was still winnable he has done that in his past 3 games making his team to lose and he was still able to play after I posted a ticket. This is unacceptable by Riot and also shouldn't Riot be more transparent and inform certain players like Fizz or Lee Sin is punished or not? This is not fair for honest players who tries their best and work hard to win games, I have had many accounts that were banned for toxicity it seems Riot is taking focus on things that are unnecessary. Afk, griefing, and feeding are worse actions compared to being toxic and I feel Riot does nothing at punishing players who engage in these 3 things at all because they allow players to afk, grief and feed for 3 to 20 games straight.

The thing is, inters/trolls do get punished but the rate at which they get punished is definitely not something I'm happy about. They should really improve their automated system but the thing about problems like these is that it's hard for systems to judge whether or not someone is inting, so often times just reporting through the client won't do any justice since it has to be manually reviewed. The number of reported games Rioters get makes it hard for every game to be manually reviewed so submitting a Riot support ticket as you mentioned is the best way.

It should be improved but it's also one of the hardest ones to "fix" because many innocent players who might've had a bad game could get banned if they don't improve it to near perfect. I've also seen an account that goes Blitz jg, Teemo jg, and Vlad jg for at least 30+ games with all 3 champions and they haven't gotten banned yet which tells me that playing off-meta picks aren't considered "ban-worthy". I also can't post the account because I assume it would be name shaming so I won't do that unless told otherwise.

They literally don't do shit about people who grief. I played with a guy who locked in blitzcrank top with hail of blades, ran it down like 4 times in lane, and the dude is still playing games. There are countless examples like this one. You just have to hope that someone who ints is toxic as well so you can report them for toxicity and maybe get them banned that way. If the inter is smart and doesn't type, then they can't get punished.

No they don't punish feeders, griefers, or what ever. Even if they do, that person has received so many reports that the system says fuck it and bans them or they show up the front page of reddit and Riot decides to take action. The huge problem with making an automated system that can tell if someone is throwing games or just running it down, is that people will just report people who actually had a bad game. Also Riot can't just get a group of people to check these matches of people getting reported because false reports once again will just waste time. I honestly think Riot should implement an overwatch system, like CSGO, in which high level honor players can review peoples games such as chat logs VODs etc. If that person gets enough reports from the people on the overwatch, then they will automatically get reviewed by a Riot games employee and they can decide what can happen next. But till then it's probably best for you to just report that person and wait 5 minutes after that match to queue up. And if you see anyone do something that's off meta or looks weird in terms of roles, look that player up and dodge if you know they're going to troll. I had to dodge one game which some guy locked in Kayn support with 40 games and 20% win rate and he kept going at it.

Doing their job? They are not even trying.

It doesn't feel like it at times, but they do. The problem is that one or two games of it isn't enough to trigger the system because no peer review, and it is automated, it takes upwards of 20 to 30 games of raw inting from what I have noticed to actually get banned.

If I am still breaking the rules for this discussion please let me know so I can edit the post. I am not trying to break the rules on purpose. I just want to know how other players feel about Riot's ability in punishing players who greatly cause their teammates to lose the game. .

I think they're punishing the wrong type of players, if you look at my page and see what i got reprimanded for its is no where in comparison to things we all see in game. When we have inters that we report without getting the instant report feedbacks.

I'll tell you the truth. I have 17 permabans so I know what I'm talking about. The fact that I have 17 permabans shows riot is actually doing their job. What you guys don't realize is that any troll can get banned and go buy another account for $5 USD starting from lvl 30 with 40k BE, rise up in rank in a day or two and you will end up facing them again.

The system is rather unfair. I got perm'd on this account for dying more times than a team mate liked. Yet I had a Yasuo in a game that literally ran it down because our jungle Khazix supposedly took a kill that was somehow rightfully his. He built 6 zeals and ran it down. To add insult to injury, I made a post about this player not too long ago. Something like a couple weeks ago. I didn't specifically point him out but I linked the match and left it up to commenters to figure out who the inter was, since the forums have some bullshit rule about "naming and shaming" or some such nonsense. Not even a good day had passed and I was banned for 24 hours from posting on the forums. Apparently they want to protect the identity or spare the feelings of this piece of shit or something to that effect. I never really understood what the ban was about. Want to know the worst thing? This player still fuckin plays to this day. The game happened like a year ago but I remember him and I still check his match history from time to time. He was never punished.
