Why are players on the PBE generally a lot more hostile than people in the regular game?

I am genuinely curious as to why players who are on the PBE generally don't play collaboratively with other players. I've seen much more flaming and toxicity there, not to mention other players directly ignore your requests to pick a champ for you if you're beneath them in the queue. I've never seen so much blatant hostility in the regular game, so why is the PBE such a different attitude environment?

I don't know, I've received a good amount of death threats and people calling me retarded in the public game. Like, this is... pretty common; if I'm not playing with bots in ARAM, I'm being called retarded in normals.

What do you mean PBE is only blind pick right now? How can someone else pick your champ for you in blind pick?

I get what you mean though, and it's probably because no one takes PBE games seriously unless ranked is out on PBE.

Pbe is full of toxic players because they are all from higher elo and they dont realise that pbe was made for testing and reporting bugs,....Instead our teammates take it in a wrong way and we suffer and we get our pbe banned...This happened to me several times just because for playing new champs..Amumu summoner 3 [slayer-jinx-unamused]

I would think it's because it's technically a separate account so any punishements there and they just go back to their main account.

Unless there is some punishment on main account for PBE punushment.

I think the PBE puts you in with players in higher elo and people tend to forget the true reason why PBE is actually a thing so there would be players that take it seriously or not as serious.
