just wanted to know what i was banned for here

so i have been playing league for 4 years now and have never been banned or chat restricted. today i got my first ever chat restriction and was just wondering if u guys would help me understand why. so in game one i got beat out of lane so i decided to roam. out kha was super toxic and raging so i just started having some fun and told him to stop raging at a game and have fun. that is all that happened all game. i got 4 man reported after. also i was talking to the enemy team and they were a group of good people who said gg after the game and told me i played well and it was unfortunate that i got put into a game with kha.

This game was 3 days ago and i got queued up with the same troll jungler 3 games in a row so i asked my team to dodge before the game started and no one did. so i he trolled the whole game and he got mad cause i banned rammus and he wanted to play rammus but he never hovered him.

dont really understand why i was banned. again this is the first time this has happened since i started playing so i dont particularly care. I just want to know why so i can avoid this in the future.

Honestly just don’t fuck around with the system by responding to toxic or flaming people. If the message you want to send is completely neutral and doesn’t break the TOS then you can send it, but I wouldn’t gamble it even if you think the message is not offensive at all.

The biggest mistake people make that I see them banned for is when they respond or type in a way that THEY think is fine but breaks the TOS. Read the ToS very carefully and make sure you understand it really well to avoid being punished later.

Did you get banned or chat restricted? In the title you said banned but in the body of the post you're saying it was a chat restriction.

In either case, these logs are definitely worthy of a punishment. In game 1 you're giving up and belittling your teammates because of their scores, and in game 2 you're calling Jax Yi a troll and telling him to "fuck off" because you had a bad experience with him.

We all know what it's like to be frustrated at League or teammates but you can't let that get to you. This chat isn't something that Riot wants to see and it's not productive if you actually want to win your games.

Giving up seems like the reason.

If you have read the ToS you would find plenty of stuff that you are told not to do and you did in this game.

Lol that game 1 seems like youre literally arguing that youre gonna lose. Wtf is that about? Like youre giving excuse after excuse of why you cant win. What an odd chat log to see from a guy trying to win a game.

The one line you said about you obviously not going to try for that game got you banned. I know its stupid. But like riot when reading chat logs and banning people don't read everything they skim through, pick out a line and then if it goes against their rules they use it to ban.

Like I get where you are coming from you had a bad game, and had 0 control of it because of something entirely not your fault. Everything except the one line you said is ok basically. And I get it like why should you tryhard when you know the results of the game from very early on? Well the way you phrased the one line really just let them crack down on you.

The other thing tho which I can't understand is why you got banned and not simply leaverbustered or chat restricted or softbanned. Like you say you have never experienced a ban before and therefore your honor level should be above 2 at least before this. To go straight from honorable to banned is ridiculous and not how the system works frankly. Like you didn't even get a warning.

I would send a support ticket into riot support and explain clearly when you said you weren't going to try you meant try hard to win the game since it was forfeit basically. Then explain the premise, show them select chat logs (none with swearing and other things they can pick out) and then say you have been very honorable in the past and never been banned. You had one bad game and didn't even get any warning of sorts or leaverbuster if the not trying was truly the problem. If it was the way you chatted why not only a chat restriction?

Essentially try that if you can't get through then that sucks but better to try than to not try. Also don't post this kind of stuff on the board its liable to be read by rioters and taken severely wrong and could even get you further banned or would ruin your chances at redemption through a support ticket.
