Riot should do a chart of what is a bannable offense and what is?

Because all these complaints about the automated ban system make me wonder if Riot actually ban people correctly. A computer cannot interept human intent, if somebody wants to provoke and bait you in flaming then that should not be a punishable offense and yet the system will repeatedly punish people.

I am not saying that this is a bad system (since nobody REALLY knows how it works as Riot have not been that forthcoming with information about it. So how about a list of bannable offenses in game, what is not a bannable offense and then maybe a little explanation with 100% clarity on how the ban system works.

I think they're pretty clear about what is punishable behavior. The problem is that verbal toxicity (generally a response) is way easier to punish than trolling (generally the initiating factor). So the people who start the problems survive the system way longer than people who retaliate, and instead of doing anything about it, rito just hides behind "we don't want to force a meta" and "it's hard to be sure if this person is being intentional or not.." and doesn't do anything to fix the system.

Well it is, flaming back is as much of a punishable offense than just flaming whether you like it or not. The moment you fall into the same pattern as your opposite you too ruin the game for the rest of the players and are more prone to tilt.

And thats really the key point here about all the people complaining, naturally the will feel like they are in the right but what they dont realize is: they arent.

Best wishes

They should any virtually every other major corporation would be very transparent with this kind of stuff. Using scripts is pretty straight forward, but there are plenty of other things that are grey areas.

Ok so, I'm in game, one guy is acting like a moron, the other is raging. You better believe I'm gonna be reporting both idiots at the end of the game.

Tell me, when you rage at people who are trying to make you rage, does it ever make them stop?

Well, Riot DOES have a specific list. I don't think it is inclusive, but it is pretty comprehensive.

I would like to give special attention to section V, part E. It reads (actual text) "Transmitting or communicating any content which, in the sole and exclusive discretion of Riot Games, is deemed offensive". There is NO clause that says "unless someone did it to you first". So, if we want to debate whether section V part E of the EULA is well written, that's one thing. But beyond that, the system is working exactly as intended in upholding that part of the agreement.

From End User License Agreement http://na.leagueoflegends.com/legal/eula

III. Additional Agreements You hereby agree you will not C) Modify game files D) Sell content owned by Riot E) Use scripts

V. Code of Conduct The following are examples of behavior that warrant disciplinary measures:

A) Impersonating Riot B) Posting personal identifying information about yourself or others C) Harassing, stalking, or threatening others D) Screwing around with Riot's intellectual property E) Communicating content deemed offensive by Riot (including, but not limited to, language that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, sexually explicit, or racially, ethnically, or otherwise objectionable) F) Sending viruses and the like G) Spamming H) Exploiting an undocumented and/or unintended aspect of the game I) Defrauding other users of the game J) Attempting to access closed parts of the game K) Leaving games L) Picking a summoner name that Riot objects to.

I mean, this stuff isn't that difficult to find, and considering the greatest lie ever spoken in the world (I hereby acknowledge that I have read and agree to these terms and conditions), you cannot pretend it hasn't been presented to you in one fashion or another.

Human intent does not matter. It's how you deliver. You can intend the best thing by cursing and yelling at people and simply argue that it's to improve them and help them. It only matters how you carry out your intentions, not your intentions. So generally the ban system does the right job. If anything, it's too forgiving and a lot of people get away with things they shouldn't have. More people are not punished for bad behavior than people punish for good behavior. There are some circumstances where you can get punished unfairly but that's a smaller problem.
