why does riot games not let us unbind or turn off our ability to type in league of legends

if there was a way to have chat turned off and your enter key unbind'd i believe it would lead to having less toxic cases in league of legends espically in my eyes im very toxic and i am sorry for it but players who get tilted or just type alot just need a way to summoner 21 out of typing to focus on the game instead of a chat box beside the game

if you can't control your temper, riot isn't going to do your job for you

it's like asking for getting your arms amputated because you're tempted to write shyte in chat

it's really so hard for you to stop being toxic in a chat?

how can you function in real world?

if your boss/client start acting funny you would punch him in the face and lose your job? if your wife pisses you off you start verbally/physically harass her?

grow some friggin common self control already!

I agree with this. Though you can quickly mute each player in the first 30 seconds of every match, its frustrating because in that 30 seconds, anything can happen. I don't mute everybody in every game. But when you are 0 and 3 top lane into a 3 and 0 fiora because jungle never ganks, it helps me stay focused and not tilt. If talking is not your thing, riot should let it. Also a good added feature for letting young people play and avoid weirdos. There are a lot of weirdos with freaky names and stories. Maybe as a young kid you don't want someone named sloppydaddy talking to you on summer vacation???

Just because I want to mute chat, doesn't mean I would mute pings. Pings can do most of the talking.

I suspect another reason Riot hasn't added a self-mute feature is because they don't want players shifting their frustrations from chat into gameplay... which is what they saw happen during the rolling chat ban period.

And really, having chat isn't the problem. The problem is when people expect trolls in their games, they are more likely to view low skill and mistakes as trolling... and then feel need to start flaming some one who may actually have been trying their best.
