Ban system

Id just like to start by saying that your ban system for this game is utterly broken, I'm talking about the instant feedback system. As it states when you get banned "league of legends is a competitive game" what do people do in competitive games, they get angry, they trash talk, and blame their team mates for their faults, all of which you can get banned for in league, why? If it is such a competitive game why are you able to be banned for doing what occurs in a competitive game, heres why: all it really takes to get banned in this game is you trash talk in maybe one game, some people in that game report you, you go into another maybe a few weeks down the road and maybe someone on your team feeds on purpose and you get angry about it and trash talk them a bit, not being overly toxic or anything, and a few more people report you, then you go into another game the next day and don't do very good and everyone on your team starts flaming you and you stand up for yourself in chat, maybe ask some people in all chat to report them (which they won't) and then at the end of the game all them report you for inting or something when it was honestly just a bad game and next thing you know, you're banned for two weeks. Now here is the bug: why is it that the person who gets shit talked by all 4 team mates gets banned for toxicity when in reality it should have been the other 4 getting chat restrictions?

Furthermore: What is with the 2 strikes your out for good thing? you get banned for half a month, play without any reports for a few weeks and play your hardest to win and maybe dont even talk in the chat, maybe even a few months and all the sudden you have one bad game and you get banned forever because the instant feedback system is broken and doesn't actually ban those who int, start fight and grief games, or call people homophobic/racist slurs it just banns whoever gets the most reports. The game is filled with people who want to put the blame off on someone else for losing that they will report someone for nothing and theres a mark on their permanent record to the instant feedback system.

Maybe i am just salty that i got perma banned after playing non toxic good games for a decent while and ended up perma banned because a moakai jungle didn't bring smite and i accidentally took his red buff at the start of the game, leading him to feed our bot lane purposely (even blew teleport to tp into lane to die faster) and then flamed me the whole game called me retarded and shit and i was the one that got banned. But maybe I'm not the only one who thinks this instant feedback system isn't fair and is broken to the point its banning the wrong players.

You are not the first to claim that the IFS is broken, nor will you be the last. To address your points:

  1. There's trash talking and then there's just being a jerk. Knowing where the line is drawn can be tricky at times, but basically you're not trash talking if you're just insulting and harassing other players, and what you and your friends find funny may not be the same as what random people find funny so caution is advised in that regard.
  2. Fighting fire with fire (i.e. retaliation) is not defending yourself and is only adding to the conflict that's already there. Not only that but 9 times out of 10 it not only solves nothing, but it also gives them what they wanted: a negative reaction out of you. If you know someone won't stop harassing you or someone else then just mute them, report them and move on. The "(s)he started it" excuse doesn't fly here either, as just like in most public places everyone involved in the shouting match gets punished.
  3. It doesn't take one or two games of being reported to get punished-that's not how it works. All reports do is flag a game for review, and if the reported is found to have violated the rules on a consistent enough basis then they receive a punishment. Otherwise if they've done nothing wrong the report is thrown out. This is why multiple reports don't matter and why calling for reports is meaningless and can be viewed as harassment depending on the circumstances.
  4. Under normal circumstances the IFS follows a 4 strike system:

1st strike: 10-game chat restriction. 2nd strike: 25-game chat restriction. 3rd strike: 2-week ban. 4th strike: permanent ban.

In extreme cases, such as hate speech, graphic violence, racist comments and gameplay related offenses (i.e. trolling, intentionally feeding, etc.) the first strike is a 2-week ban, followed by a permaban should they receive another punishment shortly afterwards. Getting ones account back in good standing is possible, but it requires the effort on the offenders part to do so, meaning that you actually have to play games and show an actual change in behavior rather than just waiting a few months for your status to reset.

Now if you would like to actually discuss your case then please post your entire unedited Reform Card here in this thread.

nah, you're not salty, this system is completely busted, banning people for saying "mean" things or having a bad game once in a while is not only dumb, it will cause people to rage on the game after they get banned, make new accounts and cause more of the same problem.

there needs to be a reward system for good behavior rather than punishing for hardly bad behavior.

there is a mute / ignore system in place for a reason, if a person is toxic, the only problem with that would be other people become toxic, but thats their problem as a whole, if they dont like hearing certain things, they can ignore the person saying it, like you can do in real life!

Riot is becoming a SJW paradise, which is a very bad thing to be

While Necromancy may be handy (and sometimes needed) in video games, it's not the case for old forum threads. Please avoid using such magic and be mindful of how old threads are before posting.
