Why does Riot even ban people?

Okay, so I got a ban for being toxic (yes I was), but that is besides the point, I have 10 accounts, all ranked. So you ban one and then I play on one of my other 9.. When I get down to 5 I create a new one. I don't spend a single penny playing this game and I don't mind playing with the noobs and owning them, makes me feel better. So really what is the point? You have to know by now that people just create a whole new account and all you are doing is making it worse for new players.

You must have been absolutely bored to even have the time to make 10 accounts. Majority of people do not have that much leisure time, hence bans will force most people to leave the game.

Why does Riot even ban people?

Because your behavior is not how most people act, most people don't have tons of throwaway accounts and will learn how to behave after as little as 1 punishment.

You have to know by now that people just create a whole new account and all you are doing is making it worse for new players.

That's the problem with F2P game models. Anyone can make a new account for any reason and the only way to curb a specific person from doing it is if they're notable (such as a streamer or content creator) or if you have to verify accounts with things like SMS or ID numbers.

Although I should mention, Riot isn't the one making things worse for new players, the permanently banned players are the ones doing that. It's not Riot's fault that someone chooses to come back and berate new players, they're choosing to disregard the clearly laid out rules and because they disagree with them, they think they have a right to be angry and take it out on others.

It's an endless cycle and the only way for someone to break it is to be self-aware and act maturely.

Not everyone who gets banned creates new accounts, and those that do risk having their new accounts banned if they display the same or a similar kind of poor behavior that caused their previous accounts to get banned. Maybe instead of blaming Riot try blaming the people who choose to lash out at others when things don't go their way.

Because most people aren't so unbalanced that they'll board a Hate Train and load it with a cargo of throwaway accounts so they can distribute "nice flash, stupid" to the world until the sun winks out.

Why does a movie theater ban patrons, when they know they aren't going to be able to enforce it (seriously, they expect a minimum wage ticket seller to memorize faces/names/whatever and reject them from buying tickets)?

Why do the police prohibit people from driving (by taking away their license) when they know they aren't going to be able to enforce it (they can't just magically see who's driving a car, after all)?

Because the goal isn't to prevent everything, it's to convince people to stop on their own. Most permanently banned players leave the game. Of those that don't, they get tired eventually of having to keep switching accounts. Or they simply be a decent person and stop getting banned?

How many of your revolving accounts have all the champs unlocked? Or have any skins at all?

Most everyone cares about those, and thus don't want to have to start from scratch again and again. The threat of a ban makes them treat others nicely, and makes the whole game more enjoyable.

Actually when you make a new account the system picks up that you're not new, and puts you with other players doing the same thing as you. You're just playing with other toxic players :v

They should ban your IP address instead. You're the reason these rules existed

You are an exception. Most players dont do that lol. So just because you dont care about a ban, does not mean everyone else also doesnt care.

Because it's how riot makes money... New account means you are more likely to buy champs or other things.
