The League Banning/Punishment system and how the honor system is flawed

So recently I got chat restricted for 10 games, I have my chat logs and i truly believe there is an error in the judgement and riot doesn't care about that either way. "You're not funny so stop, Its not tilting its just sad, he has no friends irl so he has to try and make people laugh in this god awful game" This was the worst thing i found in my chat logs from that game. I received a 10 game restriction and my honor dropped to dishonorable from honor 5. I've gone through many processes with riot and the best answer i could get was from a riot support live chat where the Riot employee said the main reason was because he thought i was a bit "Negative". Now, I do believe that I shouldn't have said those things and it was a bit harsh. Although it is not even close to some of the things other people have said. Yet i get the same honor punishment as someone using racial slurs or homophobic statements? I had Honor 5 for 2 years straight this season and last season. Then i am negative for this game and i instantly get dropped to dishonorable. I am an avid believer in serving my 10 game chat restriction, that is fair because i was using it in a mean way. But having the chances at free rewards and key fragments stripped away for something this small. Its just unreasonable. Why should my honor tank the same way someone who has a 14-day ban for something this tiny.

How I think the Honor system in tandem with the punishment system should be altered: I believe that people should be punished for toxicity. Although i believe someone who is a bit mean after TWO years of being perfectly normal and Honor 5 shouldn't be grouped into the same category who is calling others slurs and using hate speech. I think that it would be perfectly fine if people who get chat restricted would only receive the chat restriction alone or maybe drop 1-2 honor levels. But for example someone getting banned for two weeks still getting the dishonorable status.

It would be greatly appreciated if i could get some feedback from riot themselves or others who have had similar experiences. If everyone agrees i think it would be fair to revert the honor of people with minor offenses like this but still retain the chat restriction. I personally think this is a fair and good way to deal with things. The punishment has to fit the crime right?

Thank you, TwitchyTurtle

You aren't. You got a chat restriction. Behaviors like you describe get suspensions and quickly get permanently banned if they repeat their behavior.

You don't need a slap on the wrist. 75-80% of the community never is toxic enough for a single punishment. The punishment means you are in the wrong and it is designed to make you feel bad so you change your ways.

You are literally being toxic and harassing someone, and your chat does not promote gameplay synergy. That's why you were punished.

Moving on.

Pretty sure even thought they show you only one game it doesn't mean you've been reported only once. You get punished if you're consistently being negative etc. So them showing only one game doesn't mean it's the only time you were being negative/toxic, it's just that it's the most recent one. SOMETHING LIKE THAT lol

Let's have you understand the behavioral system a bit.

I want you to imagine the health meter on music games. When you hit the note at the perfect timing, you score a "good" and the health meter reduces. When you hit the note at non-optimal timings, you get "bad", "poor" and even "omgwtfbqqruafk?!??" scores and your health meter increases depending on how badly you messed up. Of course, once the meter fills up to max, you'll lose the round.

The behavior system works in a similar fashion. You can have 900 "good" behavior games and get you to h5, your toxicity meter is kept low and everyone is happy. If the next 100 games you started becoming negative and started having "bad" and "poor" behavior games, your toxicity meter will gradually increase and eventually it will max out and punish you.

You can play 5 bad games and then play 10 good games and the toxicity meter will drop.

One thing that is counter intuitive of the punishment-honor system is that you can be climbing your honors while your toxicity meter is going up as well. You can be a hairline from your toxicity meter getting full but you can still be gaining honors and hit h5.

Finally, you aren't placed in the same category as those throwing slurs out there. Those people punished for slurs skip straight to 14-day ban.
