Can't progress Honor after a 14 day ban.

So after a 14 day ban for my bad language I'm not able to progress Honor at all. Every game I play I'm being honored usually 1 or 2x after the game (by non premades) but nothing seems to be improving. I'm still at Level 0 (Dishonorable) at 0 checkpoints. I'm Silver III currently, but I was Platinum II in Season 6 I believe, so i find it easier to have better games at this elo I'm in. Please tell me if I'm doing something wrong. Thank you.

Sorry if my English is bad but: I Was on the same boat as you, got hit with a 14-day suspension on my main and was honor 0 for about a month. Luckily, I'm one of the very few players who progress honor extremely fast. Got my first checkpoint around early July, and now I'm sitting at Honor 1 Checkpoint 3!(I'll probably get Honor 2 back in a week or so). One thing I can tell you is that, it's not about "number of games played" because I remember earning my 2nd checkpoint at Honor 0 without playing for 3 days . Its all a matter of time, you just gotta wait while being in your best behavior CAUSE ANY report that shows you've been negative in chat will STOP YOUR HONOR from progressing(which might be the answer to your problem). If you want my advice: MUTE EVERYONE before the game starts and play your best. You'll start earning checkpoints without even realizing it .

Elo, mmr, rank and skill have no influence over Honor. What does is the behaviour, both by chat and by gameplay. High elo players tend to have higher Honor, but the correlation isn't with elo, mmr, rank or skill but with the sheer amout of time played - if you play more you'll climb honor faster, because it's effectively more time spent on good behaviour (You can play 100 games a day but if your behaviour isn't good you still won't climb honor)

Honor below level 2 is special, because you won't climb in the same amount of time someone at level 2+ would, because the system wants to see positive and consistent good behaviour and won't make you climb until it's seen as enough. Hope this clarifies a bit.

In short, be nice as much as you can, don't retaliate ever.

  1. It takes alot of games to progress in Honor.
  2. If you get validly reported, it will put a screeching halt to your honors progress.
  3. Try to get team honor bonus whenever you can. Those help alot.

Agree with earlier comments. I got mine back in roughly 3 months (Chat Restr. 5 games on June 18th and got honor 2 sometime last year). Just takes a little time and patience. I think I only got mine so fast since I'm a sup main and usually I get free instant honor from the adc if I do well, and then extra if I make big plays or big saves which is pretty often.

Also you can send a ticket to Riot to clarify what your current Honor status is.
