Muting All of You Improves My Games

After so many attempts to try and enjoy chatting with any given player. I realize that I had it right the first time. Muting my entire team and disabling all chat assures I can perform optimally. Because I'm not distracted by all the bullshit typed into it.

You ever had one of those players who's really nice and friendly and then as the game progresses he turns into the stereotypical toxic flamer?

Lsayu10/21/2016, 7:48:40 AM6 votes

All chat has literally no purpose, there is nothing useful your enemy team can say, ever.

Yumifries10/21/2016, 9:04:43 AM4 votes

I should try doing this more often. Because the second I start hearing flame about something, my effort put into the match goes down significantly and I start playing for the surrender20 rather than for winning.

But if you mute everyone you'll miss out on my charming wit and funny jokes.

Seriously though, if this is what helps you then carry on. Do what you gotta do to keep on playing.

But it's always fun to ult into a fed Adc as nocturne and to hear them cry in all chat

Agreed.

I play support, and I live off of my team patting me on the back.

item 2010 is my main item and I eat one as a treat every time I get an assist.

Sometimes my biscuits are too sweet, so I have to keep All-Chat turned on so I can harvest the enemy team for their delicious salt.

Sometimes if I do well enough, my ADC won't flame me or go afk :)

Imagine what this says about the League community when the best way for some players to enjoy a team game is to mute all the other players.

Splashworks10/21/2016, 6:34:13 PM1 votes

I do this when i'm tilting or someone is extremely toxic but for the most part, the game is more fun with chat. It's the real experience

RocketRelm10/22/2016, 12:56:18 AM1 votes

I respect and upvote your choice, but I retain the right to think differently, chat cheerfully, and drink up 'all' the salt.

My S7 league resolution is to innovate, and actually make chatting at least 'slightly' interesting in every game I play (without being toxic/salty).

Ya...I know what you mean, but I think muting EVERYONE is a little too much. my tip is; play premades with people you know aren't toxic. (and of course don't forget to mute someone at the first sign of toxicity.)

don't shut yourself out completely (: there are plenty fun people around, stick to them! Zac

Loboros10/22/2016, 4:08:00 AM1 votes

Give them a chance. many players are at least decent people, mute the people that are just trying to be rude :)

Hey I starting doing this yesterday, and boy can I say I play well better. I hate when people use chat for negativity so now I just mute all before anyone says anything. I also have fun too because I don't need anyone telling me anything because they don't play perfect and I hate when people blame everything on you.

It does 3 games in a row where I had toxic players ,and even a jungler run into my lane after getting first blood, (He calls all in ping) and gank but stands in lane farming and pushing my cs while I die because of his call and then starts arguing chat... /mute all after I let them know why the game started going badly.

Doesn't matter though because I have a few upset idiots threaten me at the end of the game, then friend request me which I decline... Riot honestly needs to look at the players who intentionally throw their mates in game (I don't mean bad play) I mean when you ping you are going to commit to something and you stand back farming cs while your mate dies as a jungler when you make these type of calls... The funny thing is the player at end game who wanted to spend an entire game raging said harassing others with report threats isn't ban worthy but thing is I read these forums and see players soliciting reports always get banned?

GettemClone10/22/2016, 11:30:40 PM1 votes

did any of you guys had this cool and friendly teammate ?

i was lucky to see one @@ and dam how nice he was

never ever flamed again after playing that game with him

Reapuer10/21/2016, 8:20:02 AM1 votes

As soon as I see toxicity i mute all. Because I know if someone starts talking trash i'm going to respond and it just escalates. The ping system is so good you don't need to talk to people to win games.

Got reported for refusing to communicate after muting my toxic botlane in a game yesterday. Feelsbadman.

Shifune10/21/2016, 3:46:57 PM1 votes

Agreed. I used to do this, then I stopped for a while.... now I have a chat ban. Rip my Victorious Maokai.

Back to muting everyone.

OuijaBored10/21/2016, 4:53:37 PM1 votes

I only mute if they start to be toxic, only because of the way that I personally use chat. I type when someone blows a summoner, the last I saw jungle, all the new pings having to do with your abilities and everything, talking about a bait, talking about how we will go about grabbing baron when you know you cannot survive baron and a teamfight. It has its uses; but toxicity drowns it out like 90% of the time.
