Learning that the best thing about player behavior is yourself.

This is a hard topic for most of us to talk about but I just wanted to bring it up as I noticed bad habits in myself. Why is it in our nature to pick on the guy behind in a team game? How will that benefit us in the long game. Learning to use the mute button is a big help I find as well. Just play, have fun. Better yourself.

Sometimes (some do it a LOT more often than others), when our team is losing, we use our teammates as scapegoats to preserve our own pride so that we refuse to accept that we may be playing poorly, made a poor decision, or whatever the case may be.

When it comes down to it, it's all about pride. Accepting that we're all just flawed human beings (well, except Faker), and trying to see things from their perspective really helps me not be toxic. I'm not saying that I'm perfect, I sometimes have bad games and get tilted. But I've never had any punishment whatsoever over the 4 years or so I've been playing this game. Heck, I even achieved the top 10% honor icons in every category.

It also depends on how it's said/how the person reacts.

If you're suggesting maybe doing something different, such as trying to farm under tower or to try a different item, and doing it nicely it's not rude at all. Neither is trying to give advice about the champion the person is playing when it's done in a friendly manner. But some people take it as being rude even if it's not. Often times they'll then get mad at you, which will sometimes get someone to start going off on them.
