Hextech Crafting, Summoners Rift, Toxic players anyone else?

Now I should probably start at the beginning, my League woes have begun since hextech crafting went live...why? Well because in order to get keys/chests I need to play summoner's rift. NOW I do not know about some of you, but I haven't been the biggest fan of SR since Dominion came out, in fact I haven't even PLAYED summoners rift since dominion came out. This is not a prank, me trolling, or a joke since dominion was released I only ever played it, an occasional twisted treeline, and mostly aram as of late. But since dominion was retired much to my disappointment and to get hextech gear I am forced into SR...we hearby have a problem. Well a number of problems, first my skills at summoners aren't the best I have trouble with the mode in general, 2 since I haven't played it in so long even what I know about summoners is LONG outdated and I can't adjust to the new play style. 3 this makes any team I'm with angry, assuming I'm trolling, purposely playing badly, or just completely unskilled and this leads to insults, and rudeness on a level I'm not comfortable with. The truth is if I didn't have to go into summoners for hextech gear I wouldn't, I don't have money to just buy from the store so that's out before anyone suggests it. Riot has put me in this position, playing a game mode I'm not fond of, with people I don't know, causing friction and problems in games all because not only is summoners the ONLY mode you can gain hextech in, it's the only way to get any hextech items without paying real money. Not to mention you can get rid of champions/skins you already own...if you don't want them anymore should you be able to add them to your loot ad break them down?
