Punishment

I don't know whether I should post this, because the Riot-Games-Support already took care of my issue - but I want to share it anyways, because it might change future decisions stating Accountrestrictions.

To be said: English is not my first language, so excuse my spelling and grammar mistakes.

Also Disclaimer: I dont necesarrily want my Punishment to be lowered or removed! This is not the point of me posting it.

Let's start on December 3rd. I was at a friend's house because I was on a music festival the night from November 30th to December 1st. In the evening I received an E-Mail, which said that my Account got banned for the use of 3rd-Party-Programs. First I thought this was a Phishing-Mail or a Scam to get my Account-Data. But I was curious. So I tried to log into my League-Account from my Computer (I brought him along to my friend to play Games with him - I was there for nearly a week) and the Launcher confirmed the Mail.

I was stunned! I never used any 3rd-Party-Programs except for the Discord-Client (which just shows who is talking in my channel) and Overwolf (does the same but for Teamspeak). So I wrote a Ticket to the support. A while after sending it, asking them to recheck the Information they took as part of their Decision, I got curious and checked my Matchhistory via Browser ( because I couldnt log in) to see what Games I played and why someone reported me there.

The Result: Someone (I never shared my account so it happened definately without my consent) played 25 Games within 3 days on my account. I immediately changed all of my passwords ( I had different ones for everything but u'll never know) and updated the ticket with the Information I just received. The only reason why someone could access my account was a Blackhead-Hack, a Keylogger or leaked account Data. Therefor I reset my computer (formated the Harddrives and reinstalled Windows - on all my devices). One Day later I headed back to the Support-Site just to see that my Ticket was not listed. To make sure that this wasn't a bug, I logged into my Mailaccount and klicked on the link I received after sending the ticket in. The Result was a "404 Page not found error". So I wrote another Ticket, somehow my first Ticket got answered 8 days later, after asking the Riot-Games-Support on Twitter.

They told my that they cant undo or lower the Permanentban because every User is responsible for their Account. And that's a point I can't agree with! I would've had no Problem if the support decided to undo all of my Account-Progress like removing Ranks, Honor-Level from this, or maybe even all seasons played on this Account! I could understand the point that they dont want any unfair progress in the Game.

This Day I quit playing League. I lost everyhing this day : My friendlist, my Championpool and last but not least: Skins in a Value of around 200€, bought over a time period of almost 5 Years. I don't know what possibilities a Support has, but I think that they are able to see from where the Account got logged in, check from where it usually get's logged into and compare the Data. Of course I could have faked it by using a IP-Changer or Proxy or whatever but that's not the point!

Just theoretical: If I wanted to cheat - for whatever reason - why would I do it on my main Account, when it takes me only around 3 Minutes to create a new Account, play normals and or ARAM until level 30 and start scripting there? It makes no sense for me to cheat in any way, but the most dumb thing would be to cheat on the Mainaccount.

Dear Riot-Games-Team: Please consider other ways of punishing People because there are some (like me in this case) that lost their whole Account (which makes them Innocent Victims I guess).

As said before: I quit and I dont think I will come back at anytime - just hoping to improve the Game for everyone that loves it the Way I did! Thanks for your Time koromn
