Need help learning to play

Hello, I've been playing against bot's that I think it ruined me for the playing PvP.

I've watched twitch and tried to learn how to play better, but apparently I am so terrible in PvP that people just AFK or ignore me. I am looking for someones help to learn just the basics that would make me atleast playable.

I don't understand when you play unranked why people get so upset.

Thanks in advance

As a veteran, I just tried to help a new player, tried to mentor them a bit on how to play. Only to get told to "Stfu" and my team telling the new player (who i was mentoring) to mute ME because I was "talking too much" (yeah, explaining how abilties work, how to do things like kite, what they mean when they tell ashe to farm minions, etc)

New player experience is bad BECAUSE of people like this, who will flame and degrade people trying to MENTOR and HELP new players because "Stfu u talk too much" or "ur annoying" or "I already know that shit". They dont care that people like me arent even TALKING TO THEM. Just that my helping a new player is an inconvenience on THEM. I Have been playing sinse season 3, and ran into alot of new players. And as Much as i want to help them, I am less and less inclined because all it does is get me no end of greif by the community who has their head shoved so far up thier own ass, they can see daylight through their teeth.

Veterans are less inclined to help new players because when we do, the "im too pro" players on the team will tell them to "Stfu" or tell people to "Mute them, they are annoying" Even the Vi who told new ashe to mute me just used "youtube" as a 1word response when i said I am trying to help Ashe learn. But as I said. No good deed goes unpunished. why stick your neck out with this community when you are more likely to have an dull rusty axe buried in your spine.

Thank you for your response. I understand and appreciate the combos, it's the game sense that I seem to be lacking. No one really explains why they ward where they ward when they ward there. They suspect a gank, yet never say why or where. Pathing that seems to be common knowledge.

These types of things that bots don't do.

that's norms for you. if you play badly your team won't give a single fried fuck about you and will use every excuse in the book to report you. just ignore them and focus on you and you only. "but it a team game" those people are not your team. a team is obligated to help you. those people do not. or so they think. at best they are just allies who's goal happen to align with yours. at worse they too are the enemy.

Unfortunately there will always be rude people in League, same as any other game. It happens, don't let them get to you.

Everyone has to start somewhere, even those players you watched on Twitch were in the same spot as you at one point. If you're genuinely trying to learn the game, one of the best things you can do is party up with more experienced or knowledgeable players and hop into some normals with them. First hand experience is usually the most effective.

If you're looking for people to party up with, check out the League of Legends NA Discord server or make a post right here on the Boards in **General Discussion **or Player Recruitment, although I think your best bet would be to use that Discord server.

If you want really informative game discussion, check out the Summoner School Reddit, there's a bunch of helpful information posted there daily. The official League of Legends subreddit might be helpful too, although that's more geared towards news and content updates.

Looking over your play history in op.gg it looks like you have played 3 pvp games in the last 2 months. In that you are currently 2 wins and 1 loss. In your loss you were paired with some gold's and plat players. If you haven't played a lot of PvP which appears to be the case your MMR is probably off. What you need to do (ironically) is just keep playing norms for awhile. You will do two things, provide a large enough sample size to let the game slot you into a correct MMR and you will figure out what you need to be doing. In your last game you played Jungle which is the most complex role in the game. I have played for years and I am still have very little clue what I should be doing there. It might be a waste of all the time you have been putting in to Xin Zhao, but you might want to queue up as a support which to me is one of the easier roles to play while you build experience in PvP play. If you feel like your team fighting is bad I would recommend playing ARAMs as people are more chill about those games and it's a good way to get better at fighting without having to worry about farming. The best solution is to convince 2 or more IRL friends to play the game. That has been my strategy for the last nine years.

Hiya!

While I'm certainly not the best player, I'd be more than happy to help if you're still looking. (And if you have questions that I can't answer we have a group that's more than happy to help, as well.) I hope you don't mind, I took the liberty of sending you a friend request in game. Hope to play with you soon :) Cheers!
