Ya, that was the case with inting Sion, but writing into support will probably resolve this.
Was there a particular strategy that you got punished for?
People are not banned if they pick off-meta things on different roles, they are banned if they troll, not if they paly bad. I had a smurfing Ryze on my team adc but his last games he won with VERY GOOD scores, he can't be banned for trolling because he didn't trolled, he tried.
Building off-meta does not mean you're allowed to die as much as you want. People often get confused by this.
People like SSSinged and SSNunu were not punished by the automated system. They also had their punishments removed manually as well.
