Permabanned for being "Negative" and "Distracting" in game chat.

I got permabanned a couple of days ago, and I submitted a ticket, and they told me they can't reverse it or lower the punishment because I was punished before, I honestly don't remember if I was or when it happened. If it did, it must have been years ago. Since the problem was me flamming someone, and to be fair, he was flamming me even harder, and by the end of the game was running it down. I will also mention that I had honor lvl 3, and do you guys think that should be used to counter these rare negative reports? Or is one or two negative reports enough to get someone permabanned? I'm not even mad I got punished for what I said, because it wasn't my best day, but I think permabanning me is over the top. Should I have been permabanned? Do you think this is a scenario of cutting an arm for stealing an apple or completely justified? Since this is an issue with chat only, I wasn't running it down or cheating, should the punishment be chat restriction, whether temporary or permanent? During the ticket conversations, I even asked them if they can perma chat restrict me and they said it wasn't one of their punishments.

I for one think that no one should be permabanned for whatever they say in chat, because there is a mute button that other players have control over. I agree with permabanning someone for intentionally feeding or cheating because the other players don't have any control whether someone intentionally feeds or cheats, but they DO have control over what they hear in chat. And for me one of the fun things about playing multiplayer games in general is having banter between teammates and, god-forbid, trash-talking.

Keep in mind that 2 of my teammates in this game were duo quo and were flamming me even harder than I was responding to them, and another teammate was literally intentionally feeding.

Taking months long breaks then playing for a week or two, then taking another months long break does not make your prior punishment go away.

Are you guys saying you never cussed back at a person flamming you? And yes I understand that I was toxic and deserve a punishment, I just think permabanning for something like this is stupid. According to their rules, it is justified that I get permanbanned, what I'm asking is do YOU think the rules are good? Or should they be changed?

I'm not saying I didn't do anything wrong. I'm asking if you think the system of permabanning someone for saying anything in chat is a good system?

Also do you think the honors system should counterbalance the report system for these chat related offenses? Like should anyone who is at honor lvl 3 get permanbanned for saying something offensive in chat once or twice? If you are at honor lvl 3 that means random teammates found you to be a good teammate many many times.

They permanent ban too easily. But regardless do what I have done since I was permanently banned. I have a few accounts but my main one was banned, the one that I out money into. My new main is about 4 rank tiers better so it's not hard to get back ranked. But I have not and I refuse to give Riot another dollar of my money til they unban my banned account. So at the end of the day, Riot police think their way is good but it sucks. Banned players still play with new accounts. Even if they IP banned that wouldn't work. All they do is basically piss off their fan base and lose money from it. If I lost hundreds of dollars well they too lost hundreds on my refusal to give another dollar. They stole my invested money, they don't deserve anymore. I cant imagine now someone like my friends who's paid between 4.5 to 5k$ on the game. He's about to be perma bamned if he's punished again. Long rant made simple. Anyone that's permanently banned should join the party as far as not spending another dollar on the game. We all play the game because we like it. But if Riot police want to bully and steal from us then it's our right to leave them losing millions of dollars from their decision based off a broken honor and punishment system.

Whatever your teammates said to you is 100% irrelevant to your punishment. As you said there is a mute button, if you find your teammates to be toxic or distracting the intended way to deal with them is to mute them in game and report them after. I'm guessing you have been banned for 2 weeks before, Riot's system works in a way that you can only lower your punishment level by playing lots of games without being toxic at all.

It might not sound reasonable but the most tame line you said in there by itself: Mr Longneck: gg Is enough to get you chat restricted for giving up, all by itself. The tolerances of what is allowed is so sensitive that the rest of what you said, even though it's not actually that big a deal, are far over the line in terms of what is allowed.

Honestly though venting in chat, insulting people, LOL chat itself etc. does nothing, I"d just remove your chat box entirely if you care about not getting banned / honor rewards.

My friend. You actually cussed back. People have got banned for less. Just arguing or defending yourself by pointing out their mistakes can get you punished. You're way off the charts for what's safe to say.
