Hi,

How many hours do you think it is sane to play league before turning into an addict that just can't stop playing?

Regards,

I would say that it entirely depends on each person.

If you ever find that you are prioritizing League over real life issues, or if playing League ever becomes a problem (e.g. you regularly find yourself playing till late at night, and as such will be much less productive the next day).

In short, if you play League rather than take care of real life, then you might be dealing with an addiction.

Zero. None of us who play this game are truly sane.

Addiction is defined as an activity that negatively impacts your real life, and that you have difficulty stopping. Take either of those things away, and it's not an addiction.

So long as you're not neglecting the rest of your life (which is really only something you and those close to you can define), you're fine.

It depends on what your goals are, too. If you're playing to have fun, you're probably going to play a lot less than someone who wants to go pro (in which case playing it like it was your job is the bare minimum).

I think the problem is not the number of hours. (although obviously playing 20 hours straight has impact on your eyes at the very least)

It is a problem when it becomes necessary for you to play. If you can play whenever you want and not play whenever you want you are cool.

Some people can play 16 hours a day and quit cold turkey without missing it. It depends on the person.

I can’t imagine how this wouldn’t vary person to person.

Does the time you spend League cause you to miss opportunities that you regret missing? Do you feel a compulsion to play League when you’re not actively playing it? Then you might be addicted. No? Then you’re just a gamer like any other.

thats a large assumption you are making.
