How was this ban worthy?

"Hey there LewdTheLolis,

SanguineDogma here with the Player Support Team, and it'd be my pleasure to help you out today!

I know that you were just repeating the language that another player was using so that you could give everyone else in the game a heads-up on that bad behavior, but as I was looking through the rest of these chat logs, I found that this Permanent Ban was correctly placed for the use of Racial Slurs:

[9:06] [All] LewdTheLolis (Alistar): %%%%% got no power"

I do not understand how this counted as a racial slur. I am black and have lived in a black community all my life and banning over this normal slang makes no sense. This one time use is not transparent of the rules regarding language and at the least would like riot to be consistent on what can be said. One sentence with no flame should not give a perma ban when I have been reformed since my only other 14 day ban.

Are you playing League in a black community? No.

Would you talk like that at work? Depends on your industry, but likely not.

Your 14-day ban ended less than a month ago, which isn't much time to demonstrate reform.

You can use that term there because that's a culture where your meaning is understood and accepted. That's not the case here. Also, text is terrible for conveying tone, so the rules have to be stricter.

literally no one would know if you're black or not on league unless you say so.

Is it really that hard to just not use that word and be civilized.

I'm black and i dont find that word offensive at all. I like letting people have and express their opinions regardless if it is "hate".

Riot does not consider context, ever.

bro what about 'zero tolerance' do you not understand ? there is no arguing, no whining, and no complaining about a zero tolerance policy. That's why it's called ZERO tolerance, and not 0.000001 tolerance rule.

Get over it, you broke the rule, now you got punished. If you're so tough and such a badass in your 'hood', then drop the whining and deal with it like a man....

It might be fine for you to say it in your community, but Is the game you are in full of people with the same race and share the same ideas as you? no. also, the N-word is considered an insult up here in Canada apparently. You wouldn't say the N-word to your superiors, so why to people you don't know?

I know this is a sensitive topic for a lot of people.

Unfortunately, according to Riot, using homophobic or racist terms is strictly zero tolerance and is never acceptable. That word is classified as a racist term to most companies and workplaces.

Rules are rules, but I'm still sorry you caught a ban for this. Personally, I don't agree with it.
