Custom skins still allowed?

Hey .. I have been wondering for a long time now. Are custom skins banable or is it allowed , I am asking this question because I wondered if you could you an third party program to get a custom skin no advantages will you get automatically banned? Please answer this thread since I would like to know if I can approach one of those custom skins programs . Thanks for reading if you did read this and have a nice day :*

Technically? No. They've never been allowed.

In practice? ...Sorta? They don't actively punish you for it, but you run a risk of being banned for 3rd party programs any time you modify the game files.

"It depends" is usually the answer.

Does the program you're using for custom skins have cheats built in? Regardless of if you use those cheats, you'd be playing with a ban.

Does the program unlock Riot created skins? Well, you may also be playing with a ban.


Last I heard the creators of these custom skin programs were complaining about how Riot's anti-cheat approaches had all but killed their ability to make/use custom skins.

Riots official stance is That they are allowed as long as you aren't using it to get Riot official skins, but if they trigger something that gets you banned the ban sticks, so be cautious with how you implement them.
