Can I sue my ISP for the trouble I'm in now?

I know that sounds ridiculous, but I was just in a Ranked game and for the first fucking time I received an hour long outage. Not a minor one and exactly as I described. When I called their support to demand an answer, they kept "apologizing" and claimed the whole area was affected. I literally screamed and threw the phone out without being able to do anything but agonizingly wait. I come back to predictably be greeted by this. I want to take this a step further and possibly sue my ISP for this. Under the circumstances I described, would it go anywhere? It's not fucking fair, I want these people to die. I gave them my money and this is what I receive. I didn't do anything wrong in the game........

You tend to get that punishment after more than one issue.

You can sue for anything, doesn't mean it will get you anywhere.

It seems you reacted possibly a little harshly for the circumstances. Stating you want them to die because your internet dropped might indicate you may need to relax a bit.

Just my opinion.

I'm going to go on a hunch and say that your ISP will likely have a better law firm representing them, compounded with the assumption that I don't believe too many reputable lawyers would take up the case. Furthermore, I don't believe that your ISP has broken any laws, as this outage is something that is both unforseen and is resolved as quickly as possible.

I think it's time you took a little break, bud. Take this time while the servers are down to cool off. Getting this worked up over a game isn't rational. I'm curious what a law firm would say if you brought this to them though.

"I was playing a video game and my ISP had a problem, so my internet got shutdown for an hour. Because of that, I have to wait 20 minutes to get into a game for 5 games. I want to sue them for everything they have now."

How bout you calm down. Take like an hour out of your day and tank your restrictions through using 3v3 beginner bot games and pick Jinx. Go bot or top you'll be done with the game in 10 minutes. Rinse/Repeat

You'll lose money and get nothing done. Also, you're not special simply because of a simple game.

No, they kept apologizing. No quotes. They weren't "apologizing," they were apologizing. Heck, I'd be afraid to see your response if they DIDN'T keep apologizing. Jeez.

and claimed the whole area was affected.

"Claimed?" Do you have reason to believe they were lying? Area outages happen. I've been affected by a number of them in my life. It's just a matter of waiting till they get it fixed. Trust me, it does them no good for an outage to last any longer than the time it takes to fix. They're a business, and they don't like outages either. Heck, you never know if the service rep you were talking to is a fellow League player as well.

I literally screamed and threw the phone out

You might consider playing something like skyrim till it's back up. Better hope the person on the other side isn't as litigious as you are... don't wanna get sued for verbal assault. It probably woudn't fly in court either, but it might have a marginally better chance than the suit you proposed. Especially if they saw your post about "want[ing] these people to die."

Seriously, this is seriously not healthy. I'm no stranger to depression and the like either, so I think I'm in a good position to be able to spot something that isn't healthy.
