Player Behavior

I've found recently that players are becoming more and more toxic, seeing little to no consequences. This is baffling to me, and at this point has gotten far past ridiculous. Every single game, it feels like there's someone that just doesn't deserve to be in the game (because they should be permabanned by now). It almost seems as if Riot does nearly nothing about it. I even notice firsthand that people have seemed to stop reporting because the general consensus is that it will do absolutely nothing. Reports are a thing of the past, and at this point a MEME, just like adc2017. People, we have to stop letting people say and do everything they want. It's ruining the game and making it just. not. fun!

Your point of view or games? toxicity may not be as bad as you think it is just saying

If you find that people with poor behavior patterns aren't getting punished, then the reason would be little to no reports on that type of behavior. The community has a huge part in determining what behavior is acceptable and what is not, so report those people that act out and encourage those you know to do the same.

I agree. It's been ages since I've got a game where there wasn't, at the very least, one awfully toxic teammate. it's rare that I get notifications of someone successfully getting banned (even when the majority playing the game, allied or enemy, also decide to ban the person(s) in question. It's crazy and super upsetting...

Riot's always focused on flaming above everything else, because it only takes a minute to look at a chat log. Every word you say in chat is going to be another thing used against you. It would take a while to watch a game, yet alone multiple games and look for someone who is trolling or inting, and Riot doesn't have time for that. There's no denying that you said something because of the chat log, but the 0-10 troll can always just say he had a bad game.

Riot isn't consistent enough about going after it and isn't quick enough to put a stop to it. So people break rules and get away with it and other people see it and then get away with it as well. And before you know it, everyone's breaking the rules, because nothing is going to happen. And since it's much easier to catch someone flaming than trolling, it's always more dangerous to react to a troll than to actually troll.

Sad to say but the only time you can really feel in control of your game is when you are intentionally trolling or are so far ahead that you can smash everyone.

If you can get your whole team to report a player, there's a much higher chance that player gets punished, especially if they're flaming / making really offensive comments or intent feeding. I just wish there was an option to report for trolling

This meta isn't healthy for players mentality. 2-3 kills in lane and lane is done.

and at this point a MEME

What's a meme is my teammates IQ, its literally less than room temp.

I think riot as to implement a mandatory group hug after matches, it is absolutely crucial.

i have been saying this for quite some time now (in euw).

euw board has lots of trolls that will deny and downplay any kind of criticism coming riot's way. try it out, it's hilarious. they twist and turn like pretzels.

statistically, according to my own experience, about 0.5 players per game commit a bannable offense. and i don't even see all that is going on in enemy chat. so i report about 1 person every 2 games. i get a notification about my report being effective once in like...4 months? clearly something doesn't add up.

At least in my experience (on the ranked ladder), there's at least one toxic person every game on at least one of the teams. The game has become less about which team is better, and more about which team flames less. It's very disheartening to play with and against, and I find myself queueing up less and less. Hopefully Riot finds a more effective way of controlling toxicity, because I would very much like to play their game and be good at it, but I just do not have the desire to put up with our community anymore.
