What is with this recent large ban counts??

Today i've got my first ban which what i read was only supposed to be one day. Turns out to be 14 whatever i guess i'll wait, "Banned for toxic behavior."I know i don't have a nice streak but the enemy team was roasting me just as much. So riot why did i get banned when both sides should be looked at? I've also seen threads on here saying they were banned for feeding in odyssey and other ridiculous reasons. I would like to say that riot is here for the better of the community but when their ban hammer bots just run with-out supervision it seems to hurt those who are trying to enjoy and don't like the idea of banning some-one for a single offence. (Also if any-one knows where i can appeal my ban i'm sure my-self and others would like too know)

Would you mind posting your chatlogs? There are some zero tolerance words that can earn you an instant 14 day ban, and the logs can be a huge clue for if this happened.
The current punishment system is in tiers, there is no 1 day ban: 10 game chat restriction 25 game chat restriction 14 day ban permaban
If you want to appeal your ban you can contact riot support here: https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us - but I recommend posting your logs as it will give you a good idea of if your ban is appealable.
Keep in mind that riot doesn't look at "both sides", for several different reasons.

I think theres some confusion over the int feeding ban. It is a catch all for assisting the enemy team. Off topic, but I don't see why they don't change it to assisting the enemy team as that would cover int feeding, as well as trollig. My guess for these "feeding in odyssey" is really just trolling bans, which would be accurate. You aren't allowed to ruin people's game play just because it is a differ game mode. Also, to mimic the above, the only reason you would have jumped tiers is due to zero tolerance phrases. My guess if your dropped a homophobic slur, or told someone to kill themselves. Neither of which is appropriate in game, or out of game.

you said some words that trigger the ban filter and if enough people report you will be banned. and there is no 1 day ban. theres a chat restriction first, then a 14 day then a permanent ban. you must have said something really bad to not get chat restricted first. and dont go crying to Riot, its your own fault. you can mute everyone in the game and dont type, that simple.

Ikr, I got that same thing, I admit I was flaming, but I had a reason to, first my teammate banned my champion for no reason (In Ranked) then supp started running down mid (Same game), I mean what do they except me to say "Gj u banned my champ, I honor u <3" "Gj ur running down mid, keep it up :D"
