This is the first time I've received a punishment, and it has been a permanent suspension.

Over what? Primarily defending myself from a duo that decided I wasn't healing enough as Soraka, and secondly to short-tempered (which I wish I had the rest of the text) where our whole team was pissed off.

I'm not sure how I gained a permanent suspension off of this, not a clue.

If this is true, and you have never received a ban or restriction of any kind, contact Player Support and you should be able to get the situation resolved.

Primarily defending myself.

Defending yourself involves dismissing the accusations respectfully and quietly, or simply muting the player. Counter-attacking is not defending yourself.

Here are some examples of where you counter-attacked rather than defending yourself:

In effect, this definitely deserves a punishment. It should not have earned a permanent ban from no previous penalties. Contact Player Support.

"First time ==> Permanent suspension" That doesn't compute.

You don't get first time perma'd unless Riot manually reviewed your case and decided to escalate it. There's something you aren't telling us.

Considering there were no trigger words, I'm surprised this was an instant-perma with no other restrictions/suspensions before it.

But you were being extremely negative both of these games, putting down your teammates and cursing them out every chance you got.

It doesn't matter what they said. As everyone here should know by now, it doesn't matter what other people said or did, everyone is treated as an individual and your behavior will be punished as such.

If this is indeed your first and only punishment (chat restrictions count and so do 14 day temp bans no matter how far back they are) then this is a mistake. I don't think this chat log is awful enough for a first offender to warrant a permanent ban.

You have a month break from 5/20/18 to 6/15/18 and then a 5 month gap from 12/19/17-5/15/18.

If any of those periods cover a 2 week temp ban, even if you weren't aware of it because you were taking a break from the game, those still count against you. I don't know if you'll still have the punishment emails in your inbox or spam folder but check just in case. Remember that just because you don't play games, doesn't mean you go down the escalation ladder. You have to play games to go down the escalation ladder.
