How can I know the person I reported is punished?

I just had a game where there was two players being super toxic for verbal abusement and Regionalism. From the mid-game they start to insult Taiwan and when I told them to stop, they started to say dirty word such as "your a-hole is so pretty", "your mom died, killed by Chinese", "English people are all idiot" and "you are a dog, not human" I had them reported and uploaded all what they have done, now I really want to know when they got punished, where can I find it out?

The only way would be to check their profile and see if they have any honors. If they got an automated two week ban, it will reset their honors to 0. That doesn't happen with chat restrictions or manual 14 day bans though, so there isn't any way to know for sure.

You cant. Its not really any of your business anyway as its only between that player and Riot. If they did then they would publicly list every single person who has gotten punish and that is not how Riot handles these types of stuff. With that said you can check up on the player. If they stop playing there is a good chance they got ban, but also because how punishment works for all you know they could have gotten Chat Restrictions which isnt visible to any aside from the player.

RIOT's stance is you can't know. And some people think that's fine. Personally, I'd REALLY like to know more about what my reports have done. Because the guy that trolled us with a draven top dying 10 times (ending 1/18/4) before the 8 minute mark making my 6/1 jhin useless while talking shit to us the ENTIRE TIME (like claiming he was carrying while telling me I was terrible while I got chased around by the laner he fed and didn't die) needs to burn in hell for it and I'd like to know RIOT did something.

I think it is our business to know if a report was valid or not. It would add to better reporting and alleviate a lot of concern from players that their reporting does nearly nothing to combat the toxicity they see.

I hear tales of these mythical things known as pop-ups that some players receive telling them that someone they reported was receiving instant punishment approximately 5-10 minutes after the report was submitted. (I'm assuming only for the automated 2 week bans as mentioned by The Big Piece) I'm not sure if the permabans go through that, or if those are reviewed prior to issuing in some, or all, cases. Either way, I've never actually seen one of those pop-ups. The only way I've ever known about someone's punishment was by them coming here, or onto Twitch or YouTube to talk about it. I dont tend to throw out an inordinate amount of reports, at least I try to think twice before hitting that button to decide if it's genuinely toxic, or whether I'm just pissed because they pointed out some mistakes I made. I'm more likely to overlook a reportable offence from someone that genuinely pissed me off, simply because I want to be sure that any reports I submit are valid and as little biased as possible. Perhaps one day, I will see one of these popups. Or perhaps I simply report people unfairly. Who knows.

I'm sure a lot of people, myself included would looooove to know when/if someone who is being a total knucklehead gets their comeuppance. Especially when they are a cocky little snot who acts like the entire internet should bow to them, as they are the high and mighty Bronze 1.

But looking at it from the devil's advocate side, if the role were reversed, and you had snarled or b***ched at a teammate, and knew they reported you for it, would you want them being told that yes, they did indeed get the last laugh, because you got restricted, suspended or banned? Seems like telling the "enemy" about the punishment is adding a bit of insult to go along with the injury of punishment.

As far as this, I do miss the old tribunal. If you were a part of it, you got a grade, that let you know where you stood within the community of other tribunal members. So you could see if the majority of other players felt the same way you did, or if they felt more leniently, or more harshly. Having that checks and balances system was wonderful, as not only did it let you know what the end result was - whether there was a punishment issued or not, but in doing so, it tended to silently lead all the tribunal members to begin to view the CoC in a very similar manner. Which made it quite easy to decide if something were punishable or not.

You can never really know for sure unless a few things happen. One of which looks like this when you either log in or finish a match http://i.imgur.com/940cSja.jpg

another is their honor is reset to 0 after they were banned... and those are about all we can tell from so far.

if you don't get a feedback within 15 minutes of the game, it means that the system was building towards their case and you'll never get a feedback.

However, if your game was the one that punished them, then you'll get an ingame notification that they were punished.

That being said, Riot is aware that the system's visibility is bad (never getting feedback), so after the new client is up and running smoothly, we'll probably get new behavioral features.
